NH-Moose Posted January 22, 2009 Report Share Posted January 22, 2009 Reports seem scarce this early, looking for first hand info from riders: Areas of concern (thin conditions, Open water crossings, icy conditions, trail closures, etc) on the peninsula we should plan around? According to the trail conditions map, the Chic Chocs trials from LaCache to Murdochville and from Murdochville to Grand Vallee are still closed (Red). Have they been closed down this season? scorpionbowl Posted January 22, 2009 Report Share Posted January 22, 2009 If you find any open water, it's probably the Ocean, given how cold it's been. We're also riding the Gaspe next week, hopefully this early in the season will see little traffic. Trails and weather should be perfect. Anything around Murdochville is questionable because of logging, too bad, the Chic-Choc trails are great.
