  7. Yes IMotoneige changed from red to open almost 2 times a day. It's been very cold up there and the ice is solid. Go to the old Chambord Chalet and spa,,, drive out to edge of the lake and you can see the stakes and tons of sled tracks.
  8. I rode the 'closed trail" to Roberval 3 weeks ago twice It's staked and perfectly fine to ride. much faster than going around.

  10. Try the Mission helmet form CXK. Best money I ever spent, no fog and your face isn't covered in your snot and wet all day.

Couldn't agree more about the wheels. i ride a Yamaha SW which is so heavy that without wheels in a dry gas station you're screwed. LOL. Really saves the carbides too in my opinion.
  12. Awesome pics!

  14. Yes, that is the location. Just before or after crossing the lake depending on which direction you're coming from.

  17. Nice place coming back from LSJ area to Delta. Some great smaller trails off the TQ main. Good food and drinks. Nice people.

  19. Thank all for the replies. I have been flying in/out of YQB for years and am aware of the process. 17 x 20 is plenty and thanks you Signman!! Staying for a month is an option and a good idea. I'll be in FL and they have flights to YQB daily with one stop, about 6 hours total. A farmer is a great idea. My French is OK enough for simple questions/answers. Best thing about a farm is it's safe and I imagine that they would pull the trailer out with a farm tractor if you let them know ahead of time. Shoveling would be a real bitch, LOL. As far as batteries go I would only leave them 2 weeks max so I think that they would be OK without a battery tender. Mikerider if you come up with some contacts I would greatly appreciate it! FloridaSnowMan in the past used a place near Trois Rivieres, I wonder if he is still around? Best and let's hope for a better 2025!! Fred
  20. I wonder if anyone can recommend a SAFE place where I can safely store my trailer/sleds (loaded) that is secure and no more then 45 minutes from YQB airport. I'm retiring and will be going back and forth next winter. I would leave a vehicle the airport. I'd need 24/7 access to this facility and likely would rent it form December through March. Any help would be greatly appreciated1 Fred
  21. AWESOME photos, great post!!
  22. Today rode West on 83 to Auberge Presbytere for breakfast. 83 West was awesome. Spent the day just riding 83, 23 and especially 383. Stopped at Relais La Genouille, pretty good sled club. All trials awesome. Unfortunately, when we got back to the Dela it was 35 degrees. Snow getting soft and bare spots worse, Calling for rain on Friday. Not sure I'd rec coming up this weekend. Was 4 days riding worth 2000 miles drive from Pittsburgh? YES. Heading home tomorrow.
  23. Rode to KM 31 from the Delta. Again, after second bridge, again much better. 134 to 93 7/10. 93 to Imago Village 9/10. Imago to KM 31 8/10 . Trail to Relais Chappel, the 8KM for km 31 to Chapple seemed liked 80 KM. Totally whooped up. Got gas at Chapelle, but, line for food was 20 deep. Went back to KM 31, got a table and some good food for lunch. The Delta is getting less busy each day. Called for rain on Thursday, amazing but true.
  24. Yesterday we rode from Delta to Otis Nature. First 8 miles until you cross the second bridge were lots of rocks, snirt and dirt. One of the Sidewinders kept overheating. After the second bridge a Huge improvement. Flat smooth. Couldn't go WOT as there is ice beneath a thin layer of snow, corners very icy. Goof smoked meat at Otis Nature. 110 miles. Today took 83 S to Auberge du Ravage. Much better getting out from the Delta. Lots of open straight trials where you could go WOT. Nice lunch at the Ravage. 87 Octane gas at the Ravage is 2.50/liter. Was a great day for 160 miles. Tomorrow we're going to head North again and shoot for Auberge KM 31. Will post tomorrow. Overall, it's still better then work. Sled wheels are a really nice to have in the Delta parking lot. Completely bare asphalt Fred
  25. Me too, going to try the Delta instead.
