Indeed. As I said, I would suspect there are some politics, personality, and attitude issues at play here....

I stayed at the Delice this summer on SXS. The owner told me then his plan was to close completely the end of October, citing labour issues. He said it would be the first winter closed since he owned the Motel. Sad.
The Hotel Motel MSP in my opinion has been in need of upgrades for many years and it shows. I either stay in Saint Anne des Monts or Mont Louis.
Sad indeed. Thanks for the information!!

Good morning, I was looking at the Interactive map. I noticed no lodging listed in Mont St Pierre. I realize that businesses must pay to be on the map, but I thought that both hotels had been listed in the past? I heard that the Delice might not be open this winter, and that restaurant definitely would not. Does anyone have any information? How about the Hotel/Motel Mont St Pierre? Will they be open this winter? I have never stayed at that one. I wish I had the techno-savvy to create a Quebecrider database for fuel and lodging...It's becoming challenging(For Me) to plan trips from hundreds of miles away and struggling with the language barrier. Merci.

Just fill in xxxxxxxxx for a vin if you dont get it in time.
That might certainly work, but could be problematic if he were to get stopped.... They are (understandably) very fussy about these permits. Both to ensure every sled on the trail has a paid permit, but also to be the insurance piece is associated with the appropriate sled and owner/rider. I guess in the big cost picture, $90 Canadian is not going to affect a U. S. rider's season that much. Or, so it seems to me. Probably the difference of 2-3 fuel fills. Hopefully the sled comes in on time.🤞

Just wondering if it is possible to purchase our year trail pass before we get the Vin # we have 2 new snowmobiles on order and hopefully will take delivery before December 9th deadline . But would like to know if we have a option on purchasing our permits .??
Thanks tried to do FAQ on website for permits did not find any info

Probably not. As well as the VIN, you will need to enter a registration number from your home state , which you need the VIN to obtain....

What a shame, great riding to be had there. Has to be more to this story like usual.
Indeed. There must be some politics/attitudes involved.

Very Bad.

Indeed. That missing trail from La Cache to Murdochville......😪

Thank you for the information. Very sad and frustrating that it is (apparently) unclear to many riders how all this works.

Or drive to Degelis
Yes, exactly. Many folks don't like to bring the truck and trailer into Canada though..

Good to know. So either way you are riding in New Brunswick after you cross the river at Fort Kent until you get to the Quebec border. You either wing it or buy a New Brunswick permit I guess.
Yes, exactly. You are riding in New Brunswick, and Should buy a trail pass. The only way to avoid it, is to ride out the Allagash trail and cross at that end into Quebec. Or, park in Jackman, and leave from there.
