  1. There is Also Real Masse 20 miles down the trail from Cabanon. Again lots of rooms, Cabins and a large Restaurant. Trails will most likely be rough in this area pulling in towards the evening, but they do a great job grooming and everything should be smooth in the morning when you leave. Just my .02 cents. You need rooms they have them at these 2 places. I cant make it to the gathering, we will be up the week before.
  2. I have never had an issue with the place. Been staying there since the late 90's. I now just use it as a launching pad to park my truck and trailer. Large dining area, large bar room and 3 floors with rooms & beds. Make up your mind they do get full on the weekend!!
  3. I looked at that type that mounted under the running boards. Towing was using them and I liked the way they mounted up & out of the way. After looking at some picture from TY of them It did not look like they would work on a Renegade due to all of the evacuation holes and the "foot cleats" on the boards. No real flat area on the bottom side to mount them. I did not have any to hold up and try to position, I came to this conclusion just by looking at pictures. Now that the ice scratchers are mounted that means I will never ever need them! That is good because that means the trails will be perfect! lol!
  4. I also used the gas line hose as these wore grooves in the rails on my Polaris last year. You can see in the pic that I move the idler wheels to the inside. I took measuerments and evrything looks like it should clear when the suspension is compressed. I used this type of scratchers because I had them on hand and they where never used.
  5. Very nice. We will be headed that way soon as we go from Cabanon to spend the night at Windigo.
  6. I just did this on my wifes sleds & will be installing mine when time permits. I moved the second set of idler wheels to the inside. I felt that installing the ice scratchers behind the second set of idler wheels put them too far back to do any good. I have no pictures right now. I do not know of any negative affect.
  7. Merry Christmas too all! My 1st trip to Quebec this year cannot come quick enough. Looks to be 1/15/14.
  8. Great report! It is looking real good. I may finish the new sleds today and I will be loaded and ready to go.
  9. That is crazy! I think I will stick to trail riding.
  10. Just picked up our new 900 ACE Renegades this morning. Going to use this long holiday weekend to prep them and then start the count down for our first trip up north.
  11. We are also headed up for a 5 day bag trip Feb. 15th, headed for a big loop west. I may have 2 others joining us for that one. Work is also my problem, I have trouble taking off in the winter. That is my busy season.
  12. Not very happy right now. Decided to try doo for the 1st time this year. I ordered 265 days ago! Dealer just called Saturday BRP sent him the vin#'s that should mean that they are on the truck headed my direction. I have lots to do with x-mas here also.
  13. How early? We are heading up but not until Jan. 15th. Waiting for reports of good connectivity. We are also from SE Pa. OH ya forgot I have no sleds, still waiting for BRP to deliver.
  14. Linda incase you missed it I think RR is headed east towards Forestville
  15. Good insight and posts by both of you. I 1st agreed with shore1066 but as long as the tax money is being put back into the trail system it is a good tax. If there is such a thing?
  16. Dealer just called this evening. They are both being built right now and should be on a truck later this week. Better late than never.
  17. I was also considering this trip to Valins. But as of right now I am still with out sleds! I am waiting for BRP to deliver and I am getting very fustrated.
  18. Nice! I was really looking forward to this report. Thank you for all the time you spend to give us these great reports & pics.
  19. You are never lost! Sometimes you just dont quite know were you are at! That is when you look down at the Garmin and say think I should be over there, I think?
  20. Absolutely NOT! That is all I am waiting on now. SNOW! and my damn sleds that have still not been shipped.
  21. Thanks! I looked for it previously and could not find it. I just did a request.
  22. Be from the states I also need my Pennsyvania registration #. I dont think I can get that until the sled arrives.
  23. That is my only concern. If they ship any later than 11/23 it will be cutting it close.
