  1. Thanks for info! Headin that way tomorrow!
  2. Thanks! The way I see it, fuel up in Lebel-sur-Quévillon, 150 km to Waswanipi, fuel up and on to Chibougamau. After Chibougamau it looks like its a must to fuel up in Barriere Nord before continuing to La Dore. Thanks for pdf of the map! Did the rain and warm weather hurt your area too much?
  3. Very nice! Coming up 1/30 for a week!
  4. What happened to the Blue Bomber????!!!! Trails look great!
  5. Thanks for taking the time to put these pics up! Looking good!
  6. Yeah at -40f we also had to use a hairdryer and battery charger to get our Yamaha's going. The next night the place we stayed at let us keep them inside a heated garage. The 2-stroke Ski Doo's next to us started right up! Not a good day for Yamaha! Good info on the 4-tec, thanks.
  7. To you guys that have them, how do they start in the extreme cold of Quebec? I'm talking -30 to -40f. I know they sell the battery heater for them. Any of you guys use that? I've ridden Yamaha's up there for years and I know at -30f my Attak will start...begrudgingly...at -40f it won't. Starter spins the motor but there is not enough spin. Thanks for any info you have! Happy New Year!
  8. Thanks for the pics Groomer! Keeping me sane!
  9. Merry Christmas to you Mid Range and all others!
  10. I agree!!! I'll be the first to say Merry Christmas Groomer! Your pics bring joy all year!
  11. Don't be too shy Groomer!! It's what we want to hear! I have 2 weeks of vacation planned for Quebec snowmobiling
  12. Saw that yesterday. Its keeping me sane!!! 50f here in upstate NY. New sled sitting in garage....
  13. Thanks for all the responses! I'm going with my old saddlebags that I used on my 2000 SXR. They go across the back of the seat. I think it'll work great. They are the deluxe Coldwave ones. Those along with the Ski doo bag will give me plenty of storage. Not sure what I'm doing about the windshield yet. Seems like there are a lot of options. And since there is not a lick of snow here  I have plenty of time for research....
  14. Thanks for the pics! Good to see there is snow somewhere!!!!
  15. Hey guys - I just purchased 2012 Renegade X 4-tec. Very excited! I'm wondering which saddlebags work good for that sled? I already ordered the bag that goes on the back of the tunnel, maybe that will be enough for 5 day trip? I pick the sled up this Saturday so I'll know myself but wanted your opinions. Maybe some pics if someone has them? Also what about the windshield? I've been in Quebec in -40f weather and know the stock windshield on this sled is not enough. Again, any pics would be great. Thanks!!
  16. Ha Ha! Yeah, I wrote I'd buy a book about Groomers adventures and then realized I was a page behind and the post didn't really make sense! And then it wouldn't let me delete it!! On another note, bought my preseason permit today!!! Hopefully a trip to Groomer country will be in the cards for me this winter!!
  17. Thanks for the info. Gonna buy my preseason permit soon!!!
  18. Thanks for taking the time to post your pics groomer and Phil. They really are very enjoyable!
  19. The pictures of your camp are my idea of heaven!!
  20. Happy Birthday Groomer!!! Thanks for all the trip advice and pictures! Keep them coming. Now enjoy some wine!
  21. Mother nature can be very cruel!!! Glad you guys had a nice trip. Great details!!! How did the Maniwaki area fare after the warm up?? We may be heading up the week of 2/28-3/4. Here in CNY it was 50+ on Friday. As of right now, its 13 and there is 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground! How do you like the Polaris's? I should be in the market for a new sled soon....
  22. Awesome! Hope you guys have a great trip!
