  1. So, our shortened trek changed a bit when I suggested to JG that we push on to Matane! 302 clicks later, we're sitting at the QI sipping on a few cold ones. Great run up, Trailblazer will give full report later
  2. Morning Jack! Mixed reviews on the 850 so far. I realize that the sled is not far out of break in, but this thing is sucking oil fast. Also, I'm taking many more litres of fuel every stop compared to JGs 1200. Granted, I'm leaning pretty heavy on the flipper, but I need to keep pace with the Trailblazer! One more thing.....10 clicks outside of Perce last night all of the guages lit up and were flashing intermittently. Did that a few times, then all systems seemed normal. Not a good feeling when we're as far away from the truck as we can get!
  3. Right on Mike! Molly was gracious enough to loan me her ride! It's getting a good workout, pulled into Baie Bleue in Carlton with 291 miles for the day. Trails have been nothing short of spectacular. JG will give full report after cocktail hour!
  4. All interesting information, but I was hoping to hear more about Iceman's run! Iceman, where are you?
  5. We had a taxi lined up to get us back to RDL, but he bailed! Got to hotel to pick us up and said roads are treacherous. New plan is to get us at 6am. Looks like a day for beer, massage, and football!
  6. She's still there Ice, served our dinner Thursday night
  7. For those of you wondering if the trails are holding up, the answer is mostly no! The farther you are inland, the trails still have tons of snow. However, anything near the river is toast! Water is deep in a lot of fields, and we know this first-hand! Not a good situation, taxi cab ride planned for morning back to RDL to retrieve truck and trailer, them back to matane to get sleds.
  8. Correction on that JG, I made it, I believe you were 100yds back pouring fuel into your tank!
  9. Thanks JG! Hadn't seen this, looks like we need one. Are you meeting us tomorrow night at Mayor Mike's place? Pete and Julie will be with us!
  10. Ski Doo 420- Looks like lots of snow, good stuff. My wife has the same sled as yours, and I was curious what bag you have behind your seat? We have the stackable fuel tank and 2 of the 19l bags, but there is still a big void behind the seat! Any info is appreciated. Terry
  11. Now that you're settled in Mike, please start checking out the Vino selection!
  12. Yup, wife and one other couple. Plan on spending Thursday and Sunday nights at universal, and Fri and sat nights at riotel in matane. Will try to slide over to Groomers neighborhood one day. Make sure you're not only scouting the trails for us this week, but also the wine selection!
  13. How long will you be in RDL Mike? We'll be up Thursday night
  14. Still less than 100 miles on it right now! I took it out Friday afternoon to burn the paint off the pipe and ran off 35 miles. The first thing I did after was let Molly know what a difference she should expect! Going from a '12 600 to this thing is going to be an eye opener for her. She rode it about 60 miles on Sat and was shell shocked in the beginning, but ear to ear smiles when she shut it down! I'm going to have a hard time prying her fingers off the bars. It will be quite a change for her, but she'll be just fine. Biggest challenge will be keeping her behind me!
  15. Thanks Jack and Sandi for all the reports! Really appreciate the info and pics while we're waiting for our first trip! Molly and I just might be up in that neck of the woods that weekend, we'll let you know. Waiting for Mayor Mikes reports first to figure out a game plan! Have a safe trip back Sud, and thanks again, we'll see you soon
  16. Like everyone else, I have been awaiting your trip reports! Better dress warm, -23 on ride into work here this morning! That's to bad about Berniers, that was always a great starting spot. Have fun, stay warm and send those reports!
  17. Near new set of saddlebags with LinQ attachement, $150.
  18. Nice JG, seems like that trip was years ago! In Illinois chasing whitetails for a few weeks, it will be close to ride time when I return. Molly's new 850 came in the day I left! Talk soon, Terry
  19. Excellent pics JG, very cool! We just returned from a trip north of the border with Trailblazer on ATVs, but did not have any photo ops of any moose or beaver. Must be they all are residing in the Gaspe!
  20. The buggies are loaded JG, see you tonite!
