Iceman, Any confirmation the m1 trail is open from the governor. I called the hotel and spoke to the receptionist....she said the trail wasn't open last week but they got new snow and she assumed it was open. I asked if they had any snowmobiles in there now.....her answer was no. I believe the M1 crosses some water and could be a cluster @);&k getting out of there. Tx

Anyone have any insight on the conditions in and around shawinigan after the recent snowfall, specifically if the river is staked would be greatly appreciated...............

With all the buzz surrounding the winter gathering wouldn't it seem appropriate to award a prize to the group/rider who logs the most miles by sled getting to this well planned event. I think it would be very unlikely to see any of our trucks and trailers parked at groomers clubhouse. With all the mileage chasers attending it just seems fitting! Just a thought.

Its so unfortunate......but the dang sport is just expensive. Price of fuel and the exchange rate have made trips much more expensive over the last decade. Cost of new machines 10+, truck trailer, gear, etc etc etc.... Why in the world would you budget for this sport throughout the year. I guess it addictive, possibly more so than heroin (never tried that). Ive done bikes, boats, quads, yoga....Nothing gives you the feeling like: fresh snow, bright sun, perfectly groomed trails, and an endless network of trails. More so the feeling of a little kid the night before christmas.. Headed up for the winter gathering and the anticipation is crazy???????????????????

Looks like the trails were updated today from the federation. More Red out there than anything...........Green few and far between.......UGGHGHGHGHG

120 miles is borderline in the north country.......wet heavy snow and ur only getting a true 80 miles.....going to chibogamu ur in trouble and ur very very very remote.......

Trail has very nice banking.......tough to find trouble on that one!
