  1. I wheeled in there one night at 8 pm with my 8 year old son. Temp was around -20f, he was cold. The waitress put a chair in front of the wood stove and motioned for my kid to sit in the chair. Silent communication.

  3. Assuming that you are coming from the west on trail 3, you pass thru Pont-Rouge staying on 3 thru the intersection of 3 and 73. Roughly 3-5 miles past this intersection is a trail intersection in the middle of a large field with 3 east going to the right. go straight at this intersection. There is a sign for the Ice hotel. Go 3-4 miles and you are there. Good place to eat there called the Duchesnay which is 200 yards up the hill fromthe Ice Hotel. Admission this year is $16.00 but there is a buy 1 get 1 coupon on the back of the Jaques Cartier trail map
  4. Don, You're gonna be with me 15-17th right?????
  5. Did not ride the private trails in Onatchiway. L'etape looked to have enough to groom but I saw no grooming on trail beside road.
  6. Conditions near the ski slope (93 & bras louis) were marginal on Sunday due to low snow conditions on certain sections of 328 and 93 and lack of recent grooming on the rest of it. Monday headed west to Lamarche where the trails were much better. Stayed at the Scoobyraid with host's Marie and William and indulged in a new menu item we named the "mountain of meat". From there headed north in the direction of Onichaway then south to 328 back to Falardeau to the Auberge Carcajou for a fantastic dinner. It snowed for 24 hours, leaving 10" of fresh snow. I am guessing that within a week, riding out of Chicoutimi / Jonquire will be possible. My .02

  10. Last season I suggested to the owner Eric, that carrying manufacturer oil might generate more sales both at the pump and inside the store. I just recieved an email from him stating that he has stocked all four brands for the up comming season. Let's support this guy. It is a great spot to top off before heading into the bush.
