  1. Got the picture off my GPS, yes it is marked. 1/4 mile out of the Onatchiway parking lot is the Dam, cross it, then go straight, do not go left on the trail. At KM 104, go left, (actually it is between KM104 and KM105), sign there tells you 23KM to go. http://pipmuacan.securdev.com/
  2. Correct, we went up the west side of the ZEC, came back on the east side, never going in on this trip.
  3. They have maybe (5) 500 gallons tanks full. They get $2 per liter. Soda is $4, beer is $8, lunch is $18. It was very, very good. You can stay the night in new cabins for $125PP, includes breakfast and dinner. It is here: 116° true N49 30.831 W70 45.387 Get there by going across the dam out of Onatchiway, go straight, go til KM104, take a left, go another 23 KM, maybe 70 miles from Onatchiway. On the way back go left at KM104, make a loop, at KM68 go left, brings you back on the Brais Loius, very cool.
  4. Must see? Do the 5 lookouts, do the waterfall, do the cave, do the new trail to Pipmaucan. Check our pictures from last week: http://berardoracing.com/gallery/Marks%20Trips/2011-2012%20Trips/12%2026%202011%20Mont%20Valins/index.html Mark.
  5. Folks are riding in/out of Le'Tape, Came through last Friday, ride-able snow, though not a ton of it. Reliable conditions here: http://www.sledmagazine.com/actions/showConditions St Raymond conditions here: http://www.sledmagazine.com/actions/showClubConditions?lg=en&page=sen&cid=181
  6. The SRV's were hard on gas, but the rear suspension and seat were awesome.
  7. Out of Stoneham they were riding, out of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré they are riding, so no real need to drive as far. Some riding in the St-Zenon parks and surrounding areas. I think still way to early to do any quality saddlebag trips yet.
  8. Check the video, there is snow! This is 30KM from Les Esscoumins! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjAhhFgjNrU

  11. 720 miles for us in 3 days, lot's of snow if you stayed on the right trails.
  12. I would go KM31 and unload, I like that side better. Newbies that unload almost ALWAYS go to the Ski-Area, unload, get on 93 and ride 50 miles of whoops up 93, not the best exposure to the area.
  13. You need a refund! We will be there Monday!
  14. Usually no issue with safety either place, both about the same drive up either side of the mountain. Maybe 45-60 minutes depending on conditions. Thanks for the updates!
  15. In and out the same way in the ZEC, but there are loops in the ZEC, got to pay the daily fee. They want to funnel you through their gate. The relay Onatchiway has many ways in/out, without using the private trail system, loops are no issue. If you want to come from the HI, and return to the HI, you can still use different ways in and out, at least 3.
  16. You can trailer to the 31. Huge lot for parking, and you can change inside, eat and get gas there. You can also trailer to the ski-area, bigger lot, food and gas, not so easy to get dressed inside, but can be done. More traffic on that side of the mountain.
  17. Winter in finally arriving in most places!
  18. Website has said for sale for 2-3 years now. We stayed there once too, AWESOME!
  19. Very, very few options on the mountain. Once the season is underway, lots of GREAT options off the mountain, all within an easy sled ride up.
  20. First trip for us will be the 26th.
  21. "Small rooms, gas, food, all on the trail, pretty big parking lot". You rode Mont Valin between Valouinet and relais Chapelle at Lac Jalobert, I suspect you rode on Lac Jalobert behind the Chapelle.
