  1. Sorry Linda i am not. I met this guy back in 08 up in Rouyn Noranda on a sleep over while riding and i say sleep over cautiously 'cause my riding partner blew his track just after lunch while riding out of Rouyn, we were forced to return and spend the next two days waiting while the dealer was doing the work. One of the evenings a group from Ontarions came to the hotel for the night, they were very receptive and a lot of fun during supper and drinks later. One of the guys gave me his card and inviting me to stay at his hotel next time i'm in his area. I have family in Guelph and they're always up in Wasaga and Owen Sound, Seeing Port Severn is just bordering the Muskokas, cottage country. I thought you might've used his place for a pit stop or an overnighter while out riding. Just curious to know what the place is like and it's location. Pay no attention to the dates, the camera was new to me just before the trip and i didn't take the time to learn it before leaving. I had my eye on this one while waiting...Yummy! JG
  2. Linda Have you ever rode into this guys place or even around his neighborhood?
  3. Nice set up Linda, i have a covered double Triton all aluminum, tows very nice, prior to the Triton i used a 5' x 10' Maxi-Roule single flat bed with deflector, still have it too, now i use it behind the atv around my cottage. Never needed a trailer much, mostly left from my back yard, can go basically anywhere in Quebec and Ontario from there. I've always liked the in lines, they track well behind a pick up.
  4. And you guys are only worried about the snorring.
  5. I gues he ate all the eggs and drank all the Blue :o
  6. I can bring a roast if you think we need it lol A roast...did i hear you say a roast Mmmmm do you have one of those hot dog thingys that attach to your muffler or something, lol. Yeah, we gotta work on Grumpy Santa this year for a new sled  and not the kind with reindeer. lol.

  8. I still tell people about that trip and today i wonder how the hell we pulled it off. Biggest snow storm i ever road a sled in, jumping 6' drifts crossing the trail, only in Gaspe i tell ya. You're not get'n old, your sled is get'n old, update yourself and you'll feel like a new man, i promise.
  9. Wow! Sarnia is quite the ways from Quebec, just Googled it. My best suggestion for you would be to drive to North Bay and drop the sleds there, less driving for you and more riding. You could ride into Quebec and explore the trails in Abitabi region, they have wide fast trails, woodsy ones, field crossings, forest roads and tour de ville trails when you come into the towns. As well, from the Abitabi region you could make a loop up to Chibougamau, Lac St.Jean, Parent and back into Abitabi, makes for quite the variety of trails and stops. There are nice B&B's in Chibougamau, Hotel accomadations in Lac St.Jean, Indian reserves and Outfitters between Lac St.Jean and Abitabi. I have been through out the Abitabi region many times and have done the Chibougamau loop several times aswell and still keep dreaming of doing it over'n over. By visiting the FCMQ website and looking in the Trail condition portion of it you will be shown a list of all the regions in Quebec, a quick email to any one of those tourist offices will give you a map of the region free of charge. I have attached a couple pics from the Abitabi region to give you an idea of what you'll be in for. Good luck and have fun JG

  14. Crazysnow Groomer Thanks guys and i'm looking forward to meeting you all soon.
  15. Those Spyders do look good and i would love to ride/have one, but that would mean one more toy in the garage and then there's the cost to consider too. Spyder $25 000.00 conversion kit $3 500.00 and i hate to look at my $15 000.00 sled in the trailer 9 monthes out of the year. 2+2 my thoughts.
  16. Here's a guy with a cool idea, i can see guys butting heads on this one. The sledders that have bikes in the summer probably wouldn't appreciate this or go through the trouble converting. However, sledders that don't ride bikes in the summer could put this conversion kit to good use. I'm one of those. This is definitely a real head turner. Enjoy. http://yav-usa.com/
  17. Nice pics goose, you are one lucky guy to have the time to get out like that. How do you do it?
  18. Yes Timbo it is beautiful there, i can never get enough of that place ever time i go, never wanna come back home. The lake is called Lac Gagnon and it's in Duhamel. By next weekend i'm sure the mountain side will be all brown. JG
  19. Thanks Timbo, we spent our Thanksgiving at the cottage, here's afew pics of the lake. In front of the house Look out Look out And of course we give thanks to the forest for providing the wood to keep us warm for the winter
