  4. SB. As a moderator I won't edit your post but i'd rather say 15 to 30 cms instead of inches as stated by EC :D
  5. Never understood why so many americans are going at the same place (St-Zenon). Where will be the new place to ride??? ah! ah! there are many places to ride.....
  6. I have read a post on CMIQ from a local. User said there is near 6 inches in the ''lac des 8 chutes area''.Lakes are beginning to freeze.
  7. From what I have been reading from the ADMDQ website.Trail 93 in the Valinouet area has to be rerouted upon Transport Québec request due to security reasons. There are talks of a service trail off TQ93.That's all I know right now!!
  8. Let's wait and see.....Talks are still going on according to ADMDQ website.
  9. while watching the news at 5 the weathergirl said that le Massif de la petite Rivière St-Francais has received 32 cms of white gold today while in the Park near 15 cms. These are high altitude location but winter is on its way hopefully.
  10. I saw that on the news Groomer......pretty bad.Meanwhile Rimouski and the north shore saw heavy snow!! I think it is the second time this year Gaspésie is hit hard with flooding.
  11. Where is it gonna stop???? Should start thinking about a sled trip south of the border.Any good riding down the states?? http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2007/11/02/dollarrise.html Loonie tops $1.07 US on strong job growth Last Updated: Friday, November 2, 2007 | 8:41 AM ET CBC News The Canadian dollar surged again following the release on Friday of figures showing much better employment growth in Canada and the United States than expected. The loonie gained 2.06 cents US from Thursday's close on foreign exchange markets to trade at $1.0718 US The Canadian economy added 63,000 jobs in October, pushing the jobless rate down 0.1 of a percentage point to 5.8 per cent — a 33-year low. U.S. job growth was also much stronger than expected in October, adding 166,000 jobs when about 80,000 additions had been expected. A weakening U.S. dollar, a cut in U.S. interest rates, economic concerns south of the border, strong oil prices and a healthy Canadian economy have all combined to push the loonie sharply higher. The loonie hit parity with the U.S. dollar on Sept. 20 — a first in 30 years. Earlier this week, the Canadian dollar surpassed its previous post-war high of $1.0614 US, set in August 1957.
  12. Welcome aboard SB2006.....hope you will drop some lines on the french site as well.
  13. I always claim that $40 included in trail pass price for that $500,000 liability insurance. There is no need to pay it twice since I am already covered with my own insurance company plus instead of $500,000,I get 1,000,000 liability insurance.
  14. I can't put the finger on but it is in the mont-laurier area east of Val-Barette.It could be near the ''Restaurant Le Grillon'' just off the 315.I have circled in red where I think the pic with signs was taken.I would beleive that outfitter is the local trail south of the TQ63 which is the railroad bed in that area
  15. Ok.....well FCMQ support the merging of clubs where it's doable.I think we went from 231 to 220ish!!
  16. Snowmobile clubs in Québec must submit their trails by June 30th(I beleive) to FCMQ in order to be shown on the Provincial map for the upcoming season. If the 355 appears on the map, chances are good it will be open this winter. There is topic already on trail 355.
  17. I saw the first snow flakes today in my neck of the woods.
  18. Once in a lifetime.......I would say yes.Although i'm not really into casinos(gambling).I've stayed there once. This hotel is part of FCMQ recommended secure hotels.I have seen a guy loosing $700 while on a sled trip  http://www.fcmq.qc.ca/english/pages.asp?id=129
  19. I just want to clarify something here so everyone understand.Registration(Ownerships) have no direct impact on a snowmobile club.Buying a trail pass does.Like I said above, off our ownerships which cost $73 annualy, $25 goes to the FCMQ.FCMQ then via a subsidies system distribute the money pot based on severals factors to snowmobile clubs across the Province FCMQ has tried in the past years to convince the Government to increase our ownerships by $10 with no results so far.$10x161 404 sleds(2005-2006) would means $1,614,040 for FCMQ. Last year if I recall correctly FCMQ sold 84,000 trail passes. So half the owners are buying a trail pass.Yes I know ''Why not putting the pass on the registration fees''.NO,The question has been asked several times. What are you doing with trappers for instance??
  20. Humm!!!! at first, that isn't a bad idea.Since $25.00 off our ownerships goes to FCMQ.
  21. FYI smclelan.....I was reading over the net that 156 mills have closed in the past 2 years in Québec.20,000 job losses.Picture is pretty bad indeed!!!
