Hey, I think i have seen that set up before.

The big advantage of riding with different folks from time to time, being able to pick up and share ideas!

So after the ol lady saw my pics from my first trip around the Gaspe, she wanted to go there instead of going to Mt. Valin like we had originally planned. After 8 hours in the pickup we arrived in St. Anne Des Monts Sunday night. She hadn't been to Quebec or really anywhere outside new England since 6th grade, so it was fun watching her see the differences in language, signs, etc.. 
Only ended up doing an overnighter to Murdochville and back totaling 275 miles as she was nervous to do any more than that, but after going she is already talking about next year's trip and wants to make it 3 days instead of two next time. Now if I could only convince her to ride her own sled!
Trails were absolutely a 10/10 besides a couple areas with a few drifts. Met 7 sleds all day Monday. Definitely going to come this time of year next time as the conditions weren't nearly as good when we went the first time.

She thought feeding Gorbies out of our hands was like the best thing ever. Even in northern Maine growing up we were at the very southern end of their range so she never really saw many. 

 
That's gonna be expensive....

These Maine'ers fixed up some serious range for their "unconventional" riding. Nice plumbing 1500HD!...

Nice to meet you guys this morning. We continued on to Moose Valley for a nice lunch. Then off to The Lake View for some hot wings. We landed in Fort Kent for the night 300 miles later. Hard to believe how good the trails are!!!

As you have read about the recovery process, everyone one got home to...Gabriel.. 😉 We got tucked into our nice warm beds, albeit after mid night!
We read bed time stories and dreamed of things like the Blanche Road, white snow beaches and the Marguerite.
Relais Gabriel provided excellent accommodations and everyone lived happily ever after!
That is "The day".
The troops got sloppy and careless, let our guard down,  broke some rules,.... after all,....... "We were in our back yard"!  .....Lesson learned!
We all agree, this was one of our best trips! Not doable without the extensive support provided by Rob and Tina of Team Maine. Thank you for making this an awesome trip experience.

Everyone wanting to try this feat think BABY steps.  See if you can manage a much smaller version.  Measure your success in completing the mission, and not cracking mentally and physically.  Most will enjoy from the comfort of the couch.
To increase the realism open your windows, put your snowblower full throttle outside the window, get naked, fill your lap with buckets of ice and reread the whole adventure.
Remember 3 of 8 very capable riders and sleds made it, and the (2) Quebecois cracked also.  Bigger issue, no one died.
Congrats again RR on the trip and sharing it with us.  Thanks also for the reminder on using the rules developed back home with sane minds and sticking to it.

I knew something was going on , i was starting to get dizzy following that spot last night, but was glad to see it headed for Gabriel finally.

Had a great 4 days at Moose Valley!!!
Lee , Josie and crew were great. You could not ask for anything more!!!

We will try to get more pics tomorrow, going is good, 12" plus of new snow, great going in the area for sure 175 miles today.  Keep thinking snow and good trails. RR

Well we had a great ride to l ascension, at lunch now,  rode our first Quebec groomed trail for the season. These guys are awesome, grooming with the first storm! Only in Quebec! Gotta love it!
