jpkemtp
Last time I was at Barrage Gouin was 30+ years ago, pike fishing. That lake can really froth up when a storm comes through in the summer, i don't imagine winter storms to be any friendlier in that area, as far as wind and visibility go. I think I was about 7 or 8 at the time. I do remember it being a hell of a long drive coming in from Lac St John, and the logging roads seemed to go on forever. good times - please post some more pics of the gouin - thanks, J.P. Snowbound
Looks like the 369 heading up to Casey,I just rode that Wednesday and it was outstanding. I will say anything near St. Michele De Saints was horrible and you would be better served on a Quad! Riding north of Mont Laurier was good esp. from St Anne Du Lac north, Ben was a great host at 100 Lacs as was the Central in Parent. The 93 from Clova to Parent and on to Casey was a 8/9 out of 10! Same goes going down the 369 until you leave Repo and that is where the rocks began! The park was outstanding but as soon as you leave it trails were crap until the rail bed heading to Mont Laurier...700+ miles on the 800Etec and loving it!Just stay north or take the Quad!!
