Well... we are off to the Bay of Fundy this summer.

It should be a fun trip, has anyone been there?

Sights not to miss?

We will be in the St Andrews and Moncton areas?

Thanks

Where to go depends on what you like to do.

If you’re interested in scenery…

Go to St Martin’s area and explore the Fundy Parkway, there is nice hike over the Salmon River bridge and along the river to Hearst Family salmon fishing lodge where you can get a nice meal this year. Challenging (hilly) bike trails in the park.

Side trip into Fundy National Park and spend time in the park (a nice little scenic public golf course if you play). Side trip to Cape Enrage where you can get meal and go rock cliff repelling. Then drive along the shore line road until you get to Moncton. Hopewell Cape (tourist site) is along the way where you can see 50 foot tides around flower pots…your call on this one

In Moncton if you have kids take them to Tree Go (do a search), zip line and ladders, ropes etc 80 feet up in the trees.

If you like the beach go to Shediac area such as Parlee Beach

Can't wait to go.

-up to a 50ft change in some areas of the bay.

-the land surronding the bay actually drops (inches) from the weight of all the water at high tide.

-during the tide change more water moves through there than all the output of all the rivers and streams in the world (Gallons per Minute).

It's an amazing place to visit. Took the kids up there on Vaca about 8 years ago. We did the flower pot rocks and then headed to the Nova Scotia side and did the fossil museum and tidal bore rafting on the river. Also visited Hall's harbor, Halifax and Peggy's cove.

Nice memories.

Went there a couple of times years ago. Awesome place to visit. I actually went there as part of 2 separate vacations to fish off Nova Scotia. It's amazing when you see the waterline at low tide versus high tide.
