Wednesday 12/26:

Arrived after 8 hours in the truck. Lot's of snow in Quebec all the way up. looks like the province is open for business. some area's have plenty of snow, some could use more. We went for a quick 35 mile ride to Valinouët ski area down the Brais-Louis, pretty nice ride really. Did the closest lookout, then headed back for total of 80 miles.

Thursday, 12/27:

Rode the 20 miles down to the cave, some in the group had not been there. Plenty of snow, but bumpy. Hooked up on the 328, 93, then 367 to Skooby Raid, all good, mostly freshly groomed, 65 miles to get there. Took the main trail back to Onatchiway, all freshly groomed the night before, another 65 miles, perfect! Gassed them up and headed off into the park for more exploring before dark, another 30 miles or so, lot's of snow.

Friday, 12:28.

Today's ride was a nice 190 mile ride in the Mont Valin west trails, way away from the craziness of KM31 and the east side. Ton's of snow over here, and no traffic, nice! All was freshly groomed, the local trails are so nice!

The signing is little to non existent, but with a GPS and the free quebec maps, you can get around pretty good! Today, off to Pipmuacan for lunch. RR and Scorpionbowl, love to read where you guys are going also, off the beaten path! We were told the hubs were crazy yesterday, perfect reason to head out, and there is a lot of snow.

Saturday 12, 29:

Today we headed into the ZEC, ($25). We blasted around for 45 miles, then popped out on the Brais Louis. We blasted 65 more miles up to Pipmauacan. We ate, bought 20L of fuel each for $45, then headed back into the ZEC. Ton's of snow in the northern parts of the ZEC, (get back in at KM102 on the west side). We rode on mostly the groomed sections for another 100 miles or so. maybe 1 foot at the entrance, up to 3-4 feet+ in the northern sections. No traffic in the ZEC, and maintained perfectly. Nice change of pace in there.

Great place to be on a Saturday. I headed that way this morning, but bras Louis was junk since it wasn't groomed for two days. Like you said, the hub trails suck, but I had another great ride out west. Using onatchiway as a starting point is a great idea, but they don't have an indoor pool, lol...

Great trip and reports, thanks...

We started riding in the NEK last night, down to Island Pond for dinner. 32 mi. today into Derby to Cow Palace another 32 mi!!! but the groomer just went by and it's still snowing, over a foot so far. Could start to be good in Vt soon. We'll go out tomorrow and try to ride a little, seems like groomers should be making some progress with the trails, water bars not froze, but snow covered. You guys have fun-stay safe. talk soon.
