Fozzy
A group of us left from Ottawa on the Wednesday for our last ride of the year and headed to Valin region. We booked a place to stay from Vinnie at Valinouet for two nights with plans to head home on Friday night. To go sledding this late in the year is always a little nerve racking but as usual we were not disappointed. Thursday Waking up Thursday morning to a nice sunny day and warm temps. We headed out on the 93 going towards La Chapelle, trails were were bumping but was expected. If we ran around 60 plus mph the trail seemed to smooth out a bit. lol We stopped on a lake to check the sleds over. The belts on the Nytro's was running hot! We made it to La Chapelle and it looked like they haven't been open for awhile. So we headed over to Auberge 31 for lunch. We were told they will be open till the end of April and close for the month of May only. After their heathly special (hot dog and poutine) we headed over to the power line. The trails farther from the main stop depots the trails were much smoother. After a couple hours making our way beck to Valinouet it started snow like crazy. It was close as I almost drowned my Nytro. Friday Friday morning we woke up to pouring rain!! It was expected. After breakfast the other four guys that came with us decided they didn't want to get wet and decided to drive home. That left Bucky and I on our own. We decided we would head down the Braus Louis, head north and hopefully the rain would turn to snow. The Braus Louis was fantastic... it didn't matter it was raining... frig what a blast! We went back to Auberge 31 for a small break and then it stopped raining!!! We then started our way back to the truck on the 93 with a few stops along the way. Back at the truck and then one last blast up the ski hill. A great end to an amazing year of sledding.

Fozzy
The entry of the water hole was good but the exit side was a bit steep with the ice cut. I tried to enter at almost dead stop give it gas to keep the front end up. If I would have gone in with speed, I would have probably been bucked off exiting the water. It could have been costly as the water was deep enough to submerge the sled. lol It made for a lot of ribbing from the Artic Cat boys that night back in the Chalet. Trailblazer
Oh I bet you were getting ribbed quite a bit that evening, all too funny. Someone has got to bring a story home. Snowmobiling is always an adventure.
