We are told the Eagles use the same nest making it bigger every year and sometimes the nest gets so large it takes the tree down. Fortunately we have a healthy lake...Sorry it is a cell phone pix from a long distance, they block island off to keep people away and not disturb the birds. oops I meant 2013... The first time out on Merrill Creek with our new kayaks the man checking us in at the boat launch didn't mention anything about the area. As we paddled around I saw the markers & we were keeping clear of them. What I didn't realize was how large of an area it was. All of a sudden there was a booming announcement "attention red kayaks remove yourselves from the protected area immediately" It was then I saw the next marker & that we were inside the protected area. These three are getting pretty big now.
