Rode 338 miles this weekend…left Maniwaki up to Ste-Anne du lac via TQ 13. Trails were hard as iron with an inch or two upon the trail. Maniwaki to Joseph river was freshly groomed 10/10. North of Joseph river trail was 8/10 to 10/10. Once we got to the intersection of 322 by highway 117, TQ 13/63 trail was freshly groomed up to Mont-Laurier territory. Mont-Laurier to Ferme-Neuve to lac Gravel south of Ste-Anne du lac, no sign of recent grooming. Trail was 6-7/10. Lac gravel to ste-anne trail was 10/10.

Fueled up in ste-anne du lac with 106 miles under the buckle. I put 19,2 liters. So do the math.

Back tracked and took the local trail southwest of ste-anne du lac to 322.Trail was 9/10.322 around devil’s mountain area was 6/10 to 8/10. Local 228 and 225 were 7/10.

Back on 13/63 down to Maniwaki trail was still very decent considering we were late in the afternoon 9/10.

Today rode TQ63 west towards the Classic. Maniwaki to Montcerf was freshly groomed. Trail was like a hardwood floor. 10/10. Montcerf to 322/TQ63 jct trail was 8/10. Rode Classic to lepine road on TQ63, again trail was 9/10.Backtracked to the classic and down towards 322 junction 10/10. 322 in the ZEC Brascoupé-Désert was 10/10 except for that 6-7 miles due to some logging. Crossed the big and small cedar lakes and Blue Sea lakes all staked and back on the railroad bed in Messines. TQ13(railroad bed) up to Maniwaki was in top shape.

The Ours Blancs are doing a hell of a job this year with the grooming. They groomed their trails prior to the thaw and freezed back up in very good conditions and we can clearly see the benefits. Smooth trails. We got about 2-3 inches of fresh snow over the weekend courtesy of Alberta clippers.

We are seeing the best trails conditions so far this year right now!!!

Again was great riding with you Mid Range.

The Ours Blancs club (Maniwaki) has really changed their grooming philosophy...In years, I've never ridden such perfect trails (Local,TQ,R) on a Sunday. Hats off!

Great report, you bet.

Cool stuff, of course.

The dozer has just passed in front of my house, so it is heading toward Baskatong réservoir "La Pointe à David" outfitter.

The reservoir has been staked (R322) and Mont-Laurier (Les Sultans club) are supposed to groom their side towards Baskatong reservoir today.

Great stuff. Cool pic........woodrunner trail site says it's open on mont-laurier side. Looks like another alberta clipper for the weekend followed by more cold.
