Florida Snowman
Congratulations Phil. Welcome to the 4 stroke world. I went 4 stroke in 2006 & have been extremely pleased. You've put a lot of miles on the truck these last few weeks. Time to put some miles on that new bad boy Yamaha! Use it in good health! All the best, Tom
viper2
Congrats Phil on your new steed. I am going to head down to Oaks tomorrow for the snowmobile show. I think you will be very happy with the Viper a friend of mine has a 2014 and he really likes it. I am leaning toward the Apex X-TX rode a couple and love the power steering just can't describe the ride. Have 14,500 on my '09 GT and just blew the original belt on my trip to Maine at about 14,270. I have an opinion on the 2 strokes but I could be dead wrong so hopefully I don't get jumped on, but seems these newer designs with the DI and such to meet the emissions just use too little oil and don't hold up. I have an '02 Yamaha Viper sitting in my garage with 16,000 miles on it and never did anything to the motor other than clean the power valves
Phil 1
viper2 I agree on 2 strokes too little oil and sealed crank bearings do not hold up. 4 stroke world for me now.
