snowfarmer Posted March 9, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 9, 2016 A little quick synopsis of the ride today because we made it to the Manoir a little early today , took in a a hot tub and a few cocktails and so feeling a little tight right now . But all is good! Left the hotel and headed on 328 west not groomed yet but still lots of soft snow to play in. Got to 93 and as usual for me and my luck with this trail it was well worn . I think it has been groomed but all the soft snow and traffic makes it impossible for it to stay flat! Took the local trail short cut to the river and where it gets groomed for the four wheelers it was great. 367 on the south side was fresh groomed and fantastic. Got on 83 south and it was either fresh groomed or recently done all the way to 3 in clermont. Everything heading to the casino was fresh groomed today and held up well. So .. Now the dilmma I hate riding in the rain and we did give ourselves a extra day for weather. So if we have to hold up at the casino for a day I guess we can. We can take the bullet then report how 3 holds up through Quebec City for all your inquiring minds ... Stay tuned nothing is written in stone as of yet! Woke up at six to the sound of a snow plow out the window . Could it be, another snowfall over the night just like last year when I stayed at the casino? . It's not Groundhog Day ! I head downstairs to check it out . About 3-4 inches of wet snow has fallen . I check the weather and the radar map and things kind of clear and there is a window of good weather between 9 and 2 . I wake Rob and the decision was to go for it back to the Sheraton in Quebec City . Well has dumb luck would have it , all the clubs must of thought the should groom ever thin before the rain! EVERYTHING was perfect . 378 to 3 all the way . All groomed in the last 12 hours. Fresh snow in the mountains all the way to the relay outside of QC. I have never ran such a perfect 3 and may never again . We made and managed to stay dry . Just 110 miles today. It's pouring here now but hardly passed a sled today . Things just might hold up! We are downtown and heading out to check things out. Safe travels to all who are out trying to finish their trips.
