Bunker
We are doing a trip the end of February and curious if we should continue up from Baie-Comeau to Sept-iles only to turn around and come back? It appears to be roughly 280 km's each way. Is the trail really great or is there some thing worth seeing there to warrant the ride or should we add 2 days some where else? quebec bob
The ride from Baie -Comeau to Godabout, on to Sept-iles is a great winding, very hilly trail with the longest and highest bridge in Quebec, definitely worth the ride. At that time of year there should be a tremendous amount of snow in that area. There is no gas in Godabout but 30 mile later fuel is in Baie-trinadite.If you have a GPS there is some great riding, exploring, of local trails in Sept-iles. You could also keep going east to Harve-St. Pierre, need good weather for that, but maybe you get lucky and it is groomed, all very worth researching and going, if you are prepared. You need to know if a large storm comes while you are in this area, you will most definitely be stuck there for a few days, no way around it, just makes for a memorable adventure. Bunker
Thank you for the reply. I understand what you are saying about the storms, we were stuck for a couple days last year is Gaspe.
smclelan
I agree with Bob, it is a nice ride from Baie Comeau to Sept Iles. Certainly miles worth adding to your trip. Bunker

May sound silly, but all the lefts become rights & all the ups become downs! nyskidooerinnewhampshire and Bunker
revct1
If you haven't been to Sept-Isles, go for it. It is pretty well marked and maintained. The first section to Godbout, like Quebec Bob said, is twisty and the other half to Sept-Isles is a very nice ride. Harve-St. Pierre on the other hand isn't quite so well marked and not maintained as well. Make sure you are comfortable with being a boy scout at times. The big bridge is on the west side of Baie Comeau. It is the highest snowmobile bridge in the world.
