  1. Good thing they put those boards there, that water looks deep! lol!
  2. Best month to ride. We always take the last ride end of March. Days are longer, temps are warmer, few riders, need I say anymore? Usually the Gaspe, last year Cote Nord and didn’t disappoint!
  3. Anybody use the snow trackers on the pilot 6.9'S
  4. He is a good one to follow! I can attest to that
  5. It's an option for $299, just like the windshield. $15,000 sled whats a couple hundred more eh?
  6. I'm sure you probably could access the trails from the Marineau in mattawin
  7. Had Fxrfor years, jacket and bib very warm but heavy. My biggest complaint was not waterproof. Got caught out in the gaspe in rain, gave new meaning to the saying soaked to the bone. Have Klim now definitely not as warm, really have to layer up but staying dry is a plus. Still using the Fxr bib but will probably replace, tired of the wet ass 😧 when snowing!
  8. I heard they come with 6 shields from the factory for 2020😮
  9. Doesn't come with a windshield at all! Optional
  10. Should probably think about tuning up the mower and sharpening the blades. Looks like a week or so and you'll be ready for the first cut
  11. We've also gone there from RDL down the 85 through Edmunston to Moose valley. If I remember it was a little over 100 miles
  12. Something tells me he can probably afford it. Heard his next goal was to see how much fuel you can burn in a summer season on a formula Fastech
  13. That's what i thought it could be also when I googled NY snakes. Sent the pic to to neighbors here that trap. They said copperhead. Whatever, certainly don't belong in the basement!
  14. Had an awesome time with a great crew, a lotta laughs and great memory's for sure. Finished up with 1580 miles on this run. March riding is the best! After staying at camp in Lake George get back home today to my wife telling me there's a snake in the basement! Sure as hell. No expert but checked with the locals here and agreed it was a Copperhead. One of three poisonous snakes in the area. Luckily by a window I was able to hook it and fling it out the basement window, not a snake fan!
  15. We where probably still there. Changing in the rental building. Trailblazer walked over as he was just about to leave and saw us pull up. Would have loved to finally meet you after following all your posts!
  16. Yep, Especially when your solo, A lot more time on your hands
  17. Day6 Woke up to an awesome sunrise this morning nice place the manoir but food not so good! Tq3 east still in great shape into the relais in escoumans for lunch. Other then some sections hardpacked and icy trails super for almost April. Into tadousac to catch the ferry, trail pretty well baked. Right on like they waited for us. Off the ferry tq3 through the twisty section flat as could be and into st Simeion for the night 240 miles.
  18. Day5 Another cold morning -3f felt warmer with finally no wind. Plan was to continue East to the moosie river. Playhard headed West Solo to be back to his truck early. Tq3 in perfect shape, 25 miles later we cross the Moosie and have a team meeting. It’s freshly groomed! Now what? Was like having the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other! We don’t have time for this to be back to Matawin on Saturday. What to do! Screw all responsibilities or do the right thing. Probably the toughest sledding decision! May not have another chance like this. Welp the angel one, head to Bae Comeau for the night where we are now at le Manior. Beautiful place right on the water. Tq3 stellar the whole way. Fuel in port Cartier with lunch at some chicken shack. 230 miles. Westbound in the morning
  19. We where also planning on this trip the same time as you. Also aborted. We usually do the Gaspe this week every year. Where determined to finish this quest! Made it and will be back!
  20. Day4 Well all I can say is this was one of those days you remember! Out of the gate Tq3 freshly groomed in stellar shape! The run to godbout was outstanding! Probably one of the nicest trails in QC. Truly a roller coaster groomed to perfection! Fuel in bae trinity and a depanaur sub. After the hills nice to have flat high speed run into sept tiles for the night at the comfort inn. Trails absolutely mint! 185 miles. Plan tomorrow is to scope out if it’s doable farther East. Awesome day!!!!
  21. Day3 woke up to clear skies and -2 temps. Plan is Bae Comeau. 93 to pelchat and the ungroomed orange to forestville for lunch. Pelchat in great shape, ungroomed section started out great first tracks then turned to rutted frozen moguls, not so great! One to the tq3 fresh groomed to Bae comeau at the travelodge for the night. Off to Sept tilles in the morning. 230 miles
  22. Day2 After an awesome stay at the Auberge gite presbytere with the best hosts and great meals for $80 you can’t beat it! The plan is KM31 for the night. 355, 83, 383 along the lake with lunch at a relais on the lake. Fuel in la marche then up the orange trails to onatchaway. Trails so far in great shape, super thin through Alma. From onatchaway to the 93 spanked beyond belief. Not fun but no choice. Once on the 93 to km we where behind the groomer, caught up right at the turn to Km. Tomorrow we continue to sept tiles. Lots of great photos but WiFi to slow. 249 miles
  23. Well it’s the final run of the season, 4 of us met at camp in lake George Phil1, scranton1, me and Eric to finalize the plans for the run. After cocktails and pizza and a lot of great ideas we accomplished nothing! Plan was to drive to matawin and wait for Trailblazer and playhard to meet up and have a second pow wow to figure out where to. Finally at 1:30 we’ll head to Lac Eduard for the night at gite Lac Eduardo great little place. Trails super soft a little whooped in the corners but light traffic. All in all a good first day which was a bonus day anyway. 100 miles blue skys! Still up on the fence to head west or East once at the lake in the morning.
