  1. That is some crazy stuff! Excellent videography....but really extreme riding. I cant believe how high some of those mountain peaks were. I took a trip to Wyoming to rent and ride sled a few years ago where high marking is very popular as is off trail powder riding. A lot different than trail riding I found out. Got stuck a few times in powder. Did some high marking....but much preferred staying on trail.
  2. I have a question for you high milers.....do you trade up on a brand new sled after each season...or keep them?
  3. If I didn't just pick up a 2014 spring order sled, I would definitely have put an order in for the same sled you did. One of the coolest looking sleds on market, plus the performance is top of the line.
  4. We haven't had snow back here in Pennsylvania in over two months, but upstate in NY they had a big ATV run recently and they had a lot of snow left on trails and in woods. Tug hill area. Wow....you will be riding as early as Dec 6th? That is awesome. I am hoping to make a few more trips up to Canada (Quebec) next season to ride as I will likely get a season pass again so I want to get my moneys worth. This past season I only made it up 2x. Lets hope the snow is as good next season as it was this fantastic year. Only seven months and a few days till riding season!
  5. good point. I just got a new sled last season and was really looking forward to letting it rip.
  6. This time of year for a snowmobiler.....stinks. Nothing seems to excite me recreationally like riding my sled. I fish, ride ATV occasionally, and also have a jet ski, but none come close to matching the fun I have riding snowmobile in winter. People think I am crazy when I tell them that I enjoyed my recent trip to Quebec to ride when the wind chills were -33f in the morning. To a snowmobiler riding in sub zero wind chill is just part of what makes the sport challenging and an adrenaline rush. Id much rather cold than rain in winter. I'm probably bummed out because we are kind of between seasons. Too cold to get on lake. Was just wondering if others are missing the sledding season already like me?
  7. Great sled! Congrats..... I bought a 2014 800 ETEC MXZ X last season and love it. It really takes off...and is great on trail. You will really like your new sled.
  8. Playhard- That is some listing. I might have to plan a ride to some of those locations to try some of that! Hawaiian Pizza is awesome.
  9. Trailblazer....you get bonus points for actually posting a picture of one of your favorite meals! That makes me hungry looking at it! It wasn't until we started riding in Canada, that we experienced baked beans with breakfast. Not something common in the states. Also, I thought I ordered pancakes once and got crepes?
  10. UP Of Michigan and Ontario getting slammed with heavy snow. Wish it was here....
  11. What is the story behind the Ice Man stickers? Does he post them in new destinations?
  12. Two I forgot......La Glaciere...and Coine Lavigne....pretty good food.
  13. I would, but just sumerized my sleds today. They are washed up and put to bed for the long summer season. I hope to maybe ride with you and your friends next season however if possible.
  14. Now that the season is winding down....and yes I am bored and have waaaaay too much time on my hands...I thought I'd post a survey/opinion question. No real right or wrong answer...just opinion. To me snowmobiling in Quebec, or anywhere for that matter is only made better when there are good places to stop along the way to eat. I have actually based my trail trips on a particular restaurant that had food I liked. I thought it would be fun to ask the masses what their favorite trailside restaurant is? You can list a few in order of like....and if you want to the favorite food item they serve? Please be sure to list the town in case those reading want to try their food as well. For me this is my list: 1 Cullere a Pot (St Donat) - Turkey Club Sandwich 2 Real Masse (St Zenon) - Cheeseburger/poutine 3 Domaine Bazinet (St Emile) - Rainbow Trout Pizza 4 Mr. Pizza (St Donat) - Club Sandwich and French onion soup tachment=22567:Pictures from cell phone 016.jpg]
  15. Alain...great pictures. I am from PA and had the chance to ride in Lanaudiere (Saint Donat area), this past January and early February. Best riding I have ever seen since we have been riding in Quebec. It was very, very cold....but that's snowmobiling! Today I finally did what I have been putting off.....summarized our sleds. We have had no rideable snow for about a month now. I wish I was in Quebec to ride! Instead....all I can do is look forward to next year when we will be back. Thanks again for the great pictures.
  16. Great post. I don't know where the winter has gone down here in PA? I wish I had a place in Quebec or Maine where I could just step out and ride into April! Our riding ceased about 2 weeks ago in most of Pennsylvania.....and I am so jealous when I bring up snow cams of Quebec and Maine and see feet of snow and more falling! Only a snowmobiler begs for more snow this time of year and non snowmobilers look at you like you are crazy when you hope for more snow in March! When you explain your reason is that you snowmobile, they kinda understand....kinda? I have been having the urge come and go to hitch up the trailer and head up to NY, Maine, or even one last trip to Quebec....but talk myself out of it. The weather is now calling for a blizzard for eastern Maine Tuesday. 12+ inches.....maybe?
  17. Very cool! Always neat to see wildlife. Nice pictures and thanks for sharing.
  18. I will sum it up this way......I LOVE SNOWMOBILING IN LANAUDIERE, but my wife who is the more conservative spender of the two of us has picked up on how much trail permits have gone up. Back in the day during the 1.50 exchange rate and hotel tax refunds....she thought it was a good deal.....not so much anymore and I can't sell her on good trail riding as the only advantage to riding QC.
