Ive found the best way to tow a dead sled..just tie the ski loop tight to the bumper of the tow sled..pull the belt and away u go..we've towed tons of sleds like that, hundreds of miles...nobody needs to be sucking fumes on the towed sled and u can fly...soooo much better than any other method...it also greatly saves the wear and tear on the belt of the sled doing the towing since your one solid unit.. u can get away with using just your waist belt if necessary..
Unfortunately I had chance to use this method on Thursday. Towed my wife’s machine 32 Miles in an hour and half with her on the back of my machine. It worked perfect ! Cruised at 35 mph most of the way. I had the dead machine on my left in the kill zone. Was kind of scary on the turns, luckily we only passed 6 sleds going the other way and none trying to pass.

The trail reports have been a bit scarce on here........Everyone is either scared of the cold, getting older/wiser, waiting for the polar vortex to recede, waiting for Trumper's Tax Cuts to kick in, waiting for everything to be A+, or waiting for Saugenay Bills first Trail Report.
Myself, Phil1, Donali, LowRider and co. are departing from the Rock in St Raymond on the 14th to ????
😀😀😀😀😀😀
Looking forward to bumping into familiar faces soon!
We plan on rolling into the Rock some time in the afternoon on the 14th so we may miss you guys. I'll be with a group of 8 guys staying for a couple of nights and then back on the 19th. Things seem to be shaping up nicely . Can't wait for the first trip !!

We will be in St Ray for a few nights and figured maybe hit the Ice Hotel by sled. A couple of guys in the group have never been. Not looking to spend to much time going there.
Any updates will be appreciated , Thanks

Any word on if you can get to the new Ice Hotel location by sled ? Orange trail near Shannon looks pretty close.

X2 on The Roq. Redone rooms & resto & micro brew. Corral for sleds, but like Phil1 says no issues with the rigs all around back. Plenty of local police & EMT's hang in the lot. Gas & Cat Dlr also sells/svcs Yammi. Nice place all around.
X3 on all of above. We have been staying there for years with no problems. Staying there Jan 14 - 20 saddlebagging a few nights from there. Can't wait !!!

Anyone notice that Track Maps and The local map show trail 345 North of Repos going East of lac Manouane past Lac Chateauvert and FCMQ map shows it going West of Lac Manouane through Kanawata ??

Wife would like Meekos better. Both nice, never spent the night but have been to both more than once for lunch and beers.
