  1. 5 Jan 12F Nice and cold. Think I saw the Sled Groomer pass last night on trail going to take a look will let you know.
  2. 4 Jan Now 29F Light Freezing Rain Maybe another inch of ice Pellets since noon.
  3. Not saying you can not ride now, just saying I think after a week of cold, more snow(hopefully) and grooming going on things will improve quickly. Your Call. For me its much different (not having to drive up) I am holding out. Not the time yet. Soon.
  4. I would wait one more week. If I had to drive 6hrs but it's up to you. You will be able to ride for sure. With the cold and more snow they say coming this week things will start to be interconnected and more clubs will open trails. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Has not been any grooming action near here yet. I would think that will happen now after this snow. I would go to St Raymond. Or go to St. Zenon during the week should be fine.
  6. 4 Jan 24F 6-7" snow overnight Ice pellets now
  7. Around $1.04 per litre regular unleaded here in shawinigan now.
  8. 2 Jan 19F 1" snow yesterday and last night. Calling for plus 8C on Sunday and says rain or freezing rain. Looks like another swing and a miss.
  9. Might be time soon to hope for Rain. Hoping for snow has not worked yet. A little reverse psychology maybe?
  10. Just messing with you Gary you know that. But got to admit, it has to be close to 500 miles from home one way no? Long way for a little bit of heaven. Patience Grasshopper.
  11. 29 Dec 22F Cold is back 2 words Frozen Solid
  12. 28 Dec 42F Rain last night again. Cloudy now and temps falling.
  13. 27 Dec 30F Back in Shawinigan after Christmas in NY Not as bad as I thought i would find. Still good snowcover on the ground here. No trails were groomed yet around here before meltdown so that is for sure a minus. Saw no snow from the Border all the way to almost Joilette. Where it started to be white again a bit. We need colder and a big storm. Standing by.
  14. Yamaha guys are smart enough to be patient and wait for winter to arrive.
  15. fine job Scorp. first one of the season happy trails get it while u can
  16. Probably those damn Mice.
  17. Hi Steve, Yeah its close but yet so far. No grooming here of any sled trails yet at all. VTT got it all torn up near my house and I am sure hoping they are wrong and it dumps snow instead of Rain. Well all we can do is wait and see. January hopefully will be more kind with the cold and snow.
  18. Well let us hope that the forecast changes for the up coming week. Talking about big rain here christmas eve and christmas day. And they say it will be rain province wide with the warmup forecasted. Here's to hoping they are wrong and it snows like crazy. We shall see.
  19. Damn, for sure lucky to still have them fingers. Yeah cold will be an issue going forward for you. No doubt. The injured fingers will get colder faster. Time and patience.
  20. Right on Groomer. Back in your office. Loooking Great. Thanks for all the long hours.
  21. 18 Dec 34F Light Flurries 1.5" snow overnight.
  22. I hear ya. There is snow on the ground but we are gonna need much colder weather to lock up the lakes and rivers and a good snow event to make it real. As far as doing trips goes. To interconnect it all. Still early like you said. Every year is different and last year was a gift. This year will require a bit more patience.
  23. 17 Dec 34F Freezing Rain event So far no new snow.
  24. Yeah gonna be tough to find at this point. Not able to ride yet from the valley to the mountains maybe by then but who knows. Km 31 is probably full too. You could try Auberge Carcajou trail 328 near 93 about 20KM from Valin 418-673-1991 http://aubergecarcajou.com/ Or Onitchaway 418-690-4121
