  4. I know this is old but 2/7 I passed through and this portion of trail was beat. Once passed the bistro south it was perfect. I saw the groomer pass through La Glaciere. I agree the new owner is very nice.

  8. Thanks Tom Hope you have a great trip. we want to read about it. It will be next year till we return. Thank you Alain. Your posts gave us critical intel for our plan. I had a lot of problems while posting. I have great respect for extremely detailed reports you write. I remember reading your report with the rain gear yes snowmobiling is an adventure. Thank you. The decision was made for us to turn back. It all worked out well. We enjoyed the company and conversation. Scooby Raid next year. Thanks. I dont know how or why but the smiley face changed into the J. I have seen that happen on the french site and wondered what it was too. Now I know. Thanks. I am a lucky man to have her.

  11. Thank you. We enjoyed your company at dinner. Its great meeting QuebecRiders out on a trip. Gemma and I are just out to enjoy what Quebec has to offer. We all know thats alot. Thanks. We used to split up 2 weeks but after doing it straight through we feel more satisfied when it is over. Thanks. We are just trying to give back a little of what we have recived from this site. Thank you. Thanks. We started out riding from St-Donat in 99. I would not dare cross a river back then. We always crossed by the dam for 360. Thank you. I could not do it without her. She is great. Those guys were super. We really enjoyed there company. P.S. its nice to have some pass bye that knows where their going when your tired of going back and forth on the same trail looking for signs. Thanks Phil. Thank you. Very true she is my best friend. I have followed many of your and Sandi's adventures west and east. We look forward to reading about them. Your photo's from the mountain peaks are beautiful.
  12. Thanks. We want to read about your great trip wen you finish.
  13. Don it was nice meeting you multiple times. Quebecriders get around. Gemma says Hi. We were lucky this year most trails were great. Abbitibi is like strawberry feilds. Thanks Dave. I was messing it up as I was posting but I sort of figured it out. Thanks Mike. No royalty here just enthusiasts like you. I have read many of your adventures. You ride solo! Thanks Trailblazer. I like it up north well enough. Thank you jean-guy. You are the one that gives inspiration all year long. We have had a few nice trips this was right up there. Thanks We said hello for you at the Tamarac. It was your posts that lead us there. Thanks. Thank you. Some of us are Crazy for snow at all hours.
  14. Gemma says Hi. We had a great time riding with you. No GPS necessary when riding with bill and he knows all the nice spots. I am sure you will be happy with your gloves as well.
  15. We arrive and all is well. My truck and trailer waiting. Two days into the trip I read disturbing news. I have a dodge so no problem. We had a nice stay at La Glaciere. Lionel made us feel welcome.
  16. continued 360 west to 345 south. Approaching La Cabinon the trails got thin and icy. It looked quite different from when we left. Further south into St-Zenon it looked pretty bad with dirt and ice. We crossed the street by the bistro and presto perfection. It was a nice finish to our trip.
  17. M20 had a few trees laying across the trail it must have been windy. Our first day trip on M20. We like it! We arrived for rush hour at lunch. This place has changed a lot over the years. It’s gotten bigger but still very nice. We saw renovations going on. Parking room in the back only. After lunch a stop for some pics at the rapids.
  18. Day 13) 232 miles It was another cold morning. Last day of the trip. We decided to have lunch at Riviere-Matawin. We took 345 south to M20 to 360. Just south of Kanawata The water was smoking with the cold.
  19. Continued Up the east side to the Barrage The temperature dropped and the wind was wicked. Fueling up was cold. After a terrific lunch (smoked salmon salad and seafood Fettuccini). We met a group of guys from upstate NY and chatted a bit. We then headed down the west side for 83 and 345. My battery gave in to the cold so no more pics today. 83 to 345 south to Kanawata it was a nice ride. Our first time on 345 north. We like it.
  20. Day 12) 221 miles It was not as cold this morning. Next stop Kanawata via Barrage Gouin. First the sled comes out of the ferry J. We skipped gas at clova and went to Parent. 83 was nice. The sky looked snowy because the wind was pushing all the snow from the trees around.
  21. Hi jack and Sandi Thanks I did not realise how tough it is to post something like this. We stopped for gas and lunch at Balbuzard. Some may not like the 2.50 a litter but I feel that they are remote enough to justify it. We had a nice lunch. We continued on to Clova and the Tamarac. The sky changed to gray from blue. Once again waiting for a photo is a Partridge. Goodbye Abitibi for now. We passed by the shell pump in Clova. There were 100 sleds lined up. The place was packed. We arrived at the Tamarac to our gracious hosts. We met a super couple from the Mont-Laurier area that we had great conversation with at dinner. They were passionate about snowmobiling. I received some instruction on speaking French. We had a great meal and night.
  22. It was yet again another cold morning. We had breakfast chatted with Iceman and crew. I loaded up the Winnebago. We said goodbye to the guys. We gassed up at Louvicourt. The gas station was like a general store as I remembered it. It had all kinds of stuff. Now it’s like all other modern stations full of candy and chips. I saw a warning about the bridge on FCMQ. It was not alarming. Lake Tiblemont Some photos of 83 west Just west of Balbuzard. The thinness of the trails from day 4 was now gone.
