Je me souviens got a reaction from im4snow in Sweet Baby St. Ray
Shannon and I followed in Dave and Eddie's footsteps for our first foray of the season. St Ray to Alma and back. Midwinter conditions in the parc des Laurentides. New steed ran well, or so she tells me. A little chilly this morning. 20 below. The river had some serious snow mist coming off it this morning. I missed that photo op. Stay on the right and enjoy the season.

Je me souviens got a reaction from Sled Dog in Ceizur bridge closed this winter
Mid range I really appreciate you posting this news. As I have said before, your back yard is my favorite playground. Every year the lepine road excursions take a new twist. It's almost as if no one wants it to be. I enjoy it, almost as much as I enjoy Clova. I know this is not a popular opinion, however if you really think about it, it's hard to argue with: If you don't want to stay with Dominic at the school house, and you really miss the Tabernack that much, stay off the lepone road altogether, without his work and expenditure there would be no trail up the Lepine. In the words of another fellow QR favorite...Merci, bon soir!

Je me souviens got a reaction from nyskidooerinnewhampshire in CAA Quebec
I liked the idea so much that I called today. Unfortunately CAA Quebec is only available for Quebec residents, the lady referred me to my local AAA club. I mentioned the reason I was calling was for the plus membership that included sled and atv coverage and that I would be willing to pay the full amount just for the sled coverage alone. Again, no go for US residents. I told her they were missing a large part of the market due to the residence stipulation. She assured me she would voice that concern at the next meeting. I won't hold my breath waiting for a rule change. I think 1 tow job of 100 miles alone would be worth $182 CDN. Sure you have to get the machine to a road accessible location to begin the recovery effort by CAA, but usually that is dooable if you know where the next road crossing is, and are able to convey that to the tow truck driver.
