Heading up this Saturday the 18th Where do I pick up the trail from Clova? Never been here but been through Clova but cant recall seeing a trail for this. Thanks Mike

I'm guessing it was before or about noon. We were eating about 1 at ND du lau. He was sitting as usual on his sled watching all the activities.

Most times we would have kept going if it was just 2 of us but 4 and 1 being ex Ont cop felt better. I know after us they weren't catching anyone soon. Every one we passed knew well of 2 groups of cops ahead. Be sure to spread the news on the trail folks of cops in the area. Thanks

One of those 2 SQ was a really by the book the other was more reasonable. I told him i was just following by other 2 buddies and focused on the trail and not speedo a d that my buddy was OPP. Didnt help. They hit the brakes when they saw them i was in the snow dust and got nailed waiting anxiously nowfor the mailto come and see what they send apparently its just an 80 fine on the trail no points etc as different act they say

Looking at doing 4 days riding up the 3 to as far as we can with this. We are coming in from Ottawa and looking best place to leave from without spending forever on the black trail. Options being about a6hr truck to the Delta or taking the 138 past Quebec for about 2nrs. Not sure what this 138 is like if good or cow trail and then running north. Any thoughts and better suggestions are welcome. Thanks mike

Ya those same SQ got me an my buddy coming down the rail line. Wasn't expecting them there but at the usual Fecteau junction. Turns out there were another 2 there as well. Supposed to get the ticket in the mail. Not pleased with there cash grab exercise. Note to self stay out of that area on the weekends. Crazy traffic and beat up trails.

Dam, we went a week to early.

You will see many Team Iceman stickers along the route. Saw many this weekend and the trails were great!

To my knowledge it never burnt down. Where the fire stopped was very close and at the time the staff said they all jumped in a boat thinking it was going to and suddenly wind changed and it was saved but clear to see where it stopped when you're there. Haven't been the past 2 winters but I understand its owners from Val D'or now.

Any idea if this staked & marked? I would consider running a loop instead of an up & down run this weekend. Thanks Mike

Cant seem to find it on the map and was planning on running up this weekend. I understand it's supposed to be near or north of Parent. Can anyone chime in as to where i willl find the trail to this and which map it might be on Thanks Mike

This is the number I had. They didn't answer Balbuzard. He tried to give me another number to call. Not sure if maybe not open and they have the phone forwarded and there's someone with another number to reach at the moment. I will try and get my French friend to call and get the details.

He said the trail Lepine Road down from Clova will be groomed in the next day or so, Never asked about gas but usually the place is open at the end with gas, sorry don't know the name but likely some one will say.

Just spoke to Dominic for update as sites have trails closed. All will be open for this weekend with some open now and groomer doing second pass in some section. Also confirmed what was already posted on QR that Lac Faillon is open. Anyone have a current phone # for Balbuzard Maybe Tom does? One I have and from a site put me through to some one and since I don't speak French sounded like there is another # and not reaching the place Thanks

Not sure if its always been there but on the FCMQ site there is a link to fill out to submit for the refund for us out of province. Look under Trail Permit and then to the right side Insurance and termination. Hope to try it out next week. Mike

As much as were all exited I don't know that Val; D'or will be open yet or then. I usually drive to Le or La Domain and ride in from there which is about 3+ hours from Ottawa so likely close to 5 if going by black trail all the way up. Valins regions seems to be getting it well and likely parts of Gaspe but both are abou6-7 hrs from Ottawa. I know some outfitters in the Abitibi are not always open and expecting sledders in December so if you go call ahead.

I like the way the moose stand out against the mostly white back drop. Also like that there are NEW pictures with snow. Thanks

Not sure if anyone has seen these yet. He started with units for some brand-models of sleds. You can't use the track map but you can load others.
