  1. Lets hope so But I do recall an earlier post saying the delay was not monetary as someone or group had apparently offered but that it was tied up in red tape. Maybe money needed to grease some hands? I can't imagine that ever happening though.
  2. In the past it was always just a gas stop but this winter made a point to stay. Enjoyed it very much. This was also on our trip with a night stay at Balbuzurd and of this trip we all agreed it was our best stop. Looking forward to going back.
  3. Not the only reason I ride a cat but the main one is the power steering . If BRP came out with a factory system I would be on one tomorrow, ok December There is now an after market system for likely 3-4K Canadian. I think its similar to what I installed on my 20 Cat. Its good but not the same or as good as the factory design
  4. It was rough having to ride trails this nice all day. One last hurrah for the season. Left from the "Classic" just up past Mount Laurier. App said trail was red but shown being groomed his past week. Lets go. I will say when I pulled into the parking lot I was questioning myself but once you got off the Highway there it was. Paradise. Okay there was a small section of logging road but then it was real nice. This section took us up the Lepine Road and then over to Club Gatineau. Real nice trail. Nice leisurely lunch stop and more sledders pulling in while we were there. Original plan was to ride up to Notawissi and circle back. Well half way there it started to rain and being a softy that I am I decided we would cut it short. This was a nice 150 mile ride to close out a great season. If work wasn't so busy I would be inclined to go to Val D'or next weekend. But the bike is awaiting me now and time to change for summer. Thanks for all who contributed this season their stories and insight. Hopefully the site will get the update over the summer and we can meet again next fall.
  5. Thanks for this They groomed from the Classic this week so going to launch from there instead of St Ann and then see how far we can go.
  6. Where did you launch from and where were you able to ride to & from? St ann lake ok? Able to run to Parent? Any additional info is appreciated
  7. I will be up there Saturday for a last hurrah ride of the season. Hoping it holds up well this week.
  8. I get this on my ipad, Computer is fine
  9. Is there much traffic this week
  10. Pretty sure that's the one i road about 4 weeks ago. I believe i also saw it on FB some where. Good trail then
  11. looks like you're drinking already, 🤣 Enjoy that's a nice ride
  12. If you go to FB and then find "Le Pensive" he usually has updates as he's the last gas till Clova. If you do the run during the week you should be good. Weekends as you likely know bring too much traffic to Mt Laurier area
  13. rode through NB Saturday. Trails were great. Left Delelis Que and took a few trails but mainly 17 and the 135 into Quebec. All the trails we rode this past weekend were excellent.
  14. Thanks, that's too bad was hoping for a new trend.
  15. Anyone been there since last year. I remember hearing the restaurant was not always running and gas station type breakfasts. Would make it a stop if its back to old times with decent meals.
  16. like our permits we may have to pay a bit more here to keep it going
  17. Last i saw there was like no snow on the south side I know in Ont we are getting a good dump this week, have not checked to see if its going that way as well.
  18. I am not a fan of the FB version for sure. Hopefully this one can be salvaged.
  19. Yes it’s open. We rode it Wednesday was in great condition but with the snow Thursday it takes time to get it to set again so might not be as prime
  20. So the mile markers are clear to see. Once you pass the 27 continue on a bit and you will see a road off to the left. Take his and this will lead you onto the trail and the Junction for Casey or Parent. It harder to see to go to Casey than Parent so just stay on and you're good. Alternately you can stay on to 38KM and the trail catches up. Depends on the road conditions if I stay or not. We took the road from Wemtachi for a distance before we got on the trail to Relais 22 or Windigo. I'm not a big fan of the back & forth across the road and the road was not plowed well. Otherwise trail going to LSJ area was good. If you have an older Trakmaps version GPS it may not show this version of the trail near Windigo but you would still get there. How do i know, well I have an older version and got there lol. They got a lot of new snow Thursday night 8-10" so will take some time to pack as it was the fluffy type before trails are likely awesome.
  21. So we just got back. Its 27KM on the road. Gas is open. Thursday road was brutal with dirt & rock. Friday/yesterday with new snow was fine as fine as running roads can be. Signage is not the best. When I have more time will update where we went etc.
  22. Stay home is my suggestion and support our country
  23. For those of you that use the Oxygen helmet you might want to consider these. A local guy from Quebec came up with it. Works great https://www.connexionao.ca/Welcome.H.htm
  24. I think you have circled Windigo. If it is Windigo, its a top pick for many on this site. Usually for over night stays.
