  1. Forecast started as 1 inch of rain, as it gets closer the forecast is getting better.
  2. I have ridden in the rain many times, I really, really, really try to avoid it. Maybe adjust your trip by 1 day?
  3. Calling for 1 inch on Friday, yuk.
  4. Maps and details when we went back in December. http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2088&st=0
  5. Some very scenic rides out along the coast, get the local map and hit the orange trails, lot's west and north. For a longer ride and nice too, head east, again stay on the orange trails. We were there 2 weeks ago, lot's of snow.
  6. Anyone with a Garmin who wants the software updated and the 2012 maps installed, PM me for a price. Works perfect on any of the Car models too.
  7. You are doing a VERY WELL traveled route with LOT's of gas, no issues at all.
  8. Relay 22 is good in/out all directions. Basic, basic, basic, I mean BASIC place to stay, but cheap, and they are nice. If you want nicer, 20 miles away is Windigo, awesome place for sure!
  9. All in all a great trip at over 1000 miles, stayed in only outfitters with packages, and were treated like royalty everywhere, awesome! Lots, and Lots, and LOT's of snow!
  10. Did it this week-end the whole way, super easy, super fun.
  11. Day 1. 217 miles, Left Shawinagin heading north. 355 was awesome, no issues the whole way. 73 from La-Tuque into Relay 22, all awesome, a bit twisty with the reroute, but all very nice. 83 over to Windigo was table top smooth. Windigo is an awesome place to stay, very accommodating hosts. Cool tame foxes out front, and very reasonable on the price. Website Day 2. 302miles, 83 all the way baby, and wow was it awesome. The reroutes back onto the park road made it fast and smooth! Staying just outside Senniterre at Lac Faillon, very nice place, very nice hosts. The trail was ridiculous smooth, and we saw 2 groomers grooming glass smooth trails! Website Day 3. 223 miles. -31F! 100 miles back to Clova, awesome. this mainly through the 125000 acres burned in 2008. 30 miles north to Barrage Martin Gouin, super nice lunch, very nice owner Line! I would sleep here no problem. The 25 miles trail there from Clova was ridiculous! 30 more miles to the reservation Obedjiwan, mainly on the reservoir. Another 63 miles to Barrage Gouin, awesome! $71PP all included with 4 in a room! Website Day 4 258 miles. -24F! Rode from barrage Gouin to Shawinagin, back to the truck by 5. Everything was butter smoooooth. Website
  12. Shocks are good, come on up and ride!
  13. Was a side trail for a few years, they started grooming it of/on a few years ago, and full boat last year. Nice trail if there is good snow. Maybe 20 miles south on 23 out of Le' Tape.
  14. No gas on 83, you are heading into a park, pop out on the other side, you have gas. Get gas before you head in. If you then head up the 383, you can get gas in Riviere Eternite, or go a bit further and get gas in L'Anse-Saint-Jean, or go a bit further and get gas in Petite Saguenay. The orange trail through the middle of the park is usually very, very nice, (intersection P9). with cool offshoots
  15. On my list of do not stay, go up the highway 2 more exits, use the Escapade, 10X nicer trail, and very nice location. I refuse to pay anything to leave my truck.
  16. We did that trip a few years ago, awesome fun, and yes make reservations for the ferry in advance.
