Just wondering how many people are planning sledding trips to Quebec this winter. How many trips, how many days, when, and to what region? I will start: Trip #1 First weekend in January for the last five years I have done a three to four day Gaspe loup. It is ususally my first trip of the season. I certianly plan to do it this year. Trip #2 Looks like that will be to 100 Lakes for the Quebec Rider get together. Looks like Andyman and I will be traveling on that one. I expect it to be 7-9 days. Trip #3 Another Long weekend somewhere in eastern Quebec. I haven't got this one planned yet. However I always try to do at least 3 trips per winter. Maybe this winter I will do 4!!

Unfortuneately the demographic of the hardest working volunteers in our sport is closer to Bernards age. The chances of Bernard being replace by the same sort of dynamo is low. There needs to be more young and middle aged sledders step up and carry some of the load if we want this sport to continue in the fashion we have become accustomed to. Todays youth by and large just want to pay for their pass and have everything done for them. Most middle aged sledders are tied up with career and family. We are in a hard spot. Snowmobiling in Canada generates 6 billion $$ per year. If the feds would give back their portion of the tax from that, we could hire alot of our jobs done. My $0.02 worth.

I am two for two Big Braap!! That just happens to be one of my favorite spots. I stayed there once back in 03. We couldn't have been treated any better, very snowmobile friendly. They only had one room left when we arrived, it was a huge newly painted suite. They gave us a big discount because of the paint smell. We should have given them more after leaving the two stroke smell. LOL We met the manager/owner when having supper and he bought a round of drinks for us. The next morning one of us needed parts from a local dealer and he had his shuttle meet us at the door take us up to get the parts and back a no charge. Hotel Rimouski

I have been there many many times. That is the St. Paulin Clubhouse on the TQ5 and the intersection of the 595.

Great looking sled Andy. However, I am a little dissappointed in you. I looked closely at the picture and I don't see any grass in the rear skid. One trip around the yard, I am sure Lisa wouldn't say anything.

That is the place. Here is their web site, it is new since last winter. They are new, only the second season in business last year. They are trying very hard and I know they will be suscessful. With the high quality of food and accomadations they can't help but do well. The toll free number is in Quebec City I believe, just a radio phone at the camp. The gentleman that answers the phone could speak perfect english. Camp Haute Madeliene
