Who knows where this power station is??

Best trail, that is easy! The trail between Baie Comeau and Godbout. It is short, only about 65 miles but an incredible ride. After one more tour on it, I may have to change that to between Baie Comeau and Sept Ilses. I went to Sept-Iles last winter and that was a fanominal trail. I find it hard to pick the worst trail, because you can hit any trail that has been trashed and overdue for grooming. I think the worst trail I was ever on was NW of La Dore between the sawmill and the relais 20 miles east of Chibougamau. It was 75 miles of pure hell. Didn't need that on the end of a 340 mile day.

Did someone say they were serving beer??? I will for sure. It sounds like a great time and looks like a good spot. I have my room booked already! I think this is close to where we are going.

Your right on. Nice spot the owners were getting older, I think this was why they were closed. Some of these remote places are going to find it hard to buy the fuel for the generators this upcoming winter. A huge difference from last winter.

What a huge loss to snowmobiling in that area and even for Quebec as a whole. A great and colorful embassador to say the least. He always went the extra mile to make sure his customer had a great experience. My condolences to his wife and family.

Fred, I have seen that van before in pictures. Are you offering any hints (region or trail #)??

I am going to try to sled as much next year as I did last. It is certianly my favorite hobby. Snowmobiling never was a sport to save money at, however I may have to save a bit harder to continue at the levels I have gone in the past. As far as the day to day cost of running the sled I will take it and not complain, it is really only a couple more dollars to fill the sled up each time. What is the slap in the face will be filling the truck up to trailer to PQ.

The permit prices are the same as last seasons aren't they??

I agree with Rob, there were a couple of unfortuneately incidents that happened at once. The thing about this board is, that it is of interest to a much more select group. It is focused on one specific area. I believe it will come back to life in September.

This is the third season I have worn Extreme Cordura pants. I have been out in some very cold days and can honestly say I have never felt cold. This was like Bills my first year with the Extreme Touring Jacket and found it to be the best I have ever owned. I have had two other choko jackets (Bear, Pro Racing) and many Ski Doo jackets but none come close to this one. The warmth whether the liner is in or out is excellent and what I found sold me more than anything was the venting on the warmer days. The cool air coming in under your arms where you tend to heat up the most is superior to any other vented jacket I have seen. My $0.02 worth

I have heard a couple of people talking the same way, few trips but longer in duration. This will likely end up getting the same approximate mileage.

Here is one from late winter. This is Groomer and I in April on Mt. Hogs Back. Keep them coming things are slowing down a bit here on QR.

I put on the highest mileage ever for me last season, and it was a good one. 4200 miles on the 08 GSX 600 and 300 miles on my 05 700 Sabercat. I traveled this season in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and in Quebec. The majority of miles ridden in PQ. Next season I can only hope to beat this season's 4500 miles. On a side note had I put 4200 miles on my Arctic Cat verses the GSX the gas and oil costs alone would have been $890 more. BRP are really chasing the high mileage part of sledding.

I traveled the Gaspe last summer, it was spectacular to say the least. I am going to Quebec this summer, just not sure if it will be the Gaspe again or the North Shore of the St. Lawrence. On on the most pictureque places I have ever been. Last Summer at Perce Yesterday with Groomer snowshoeing to the summit (almost) of Mount Hog Back at the edge of the Gaspesie National Park
