That sucks to hear man.  Great dealer to do that.  Personally am an Oxygen lover.  I ride with a cord all the time though.  Best of luck finding something else.  Maybe the CKX Mission if you dont want a cord.  Hope you still had a great trip.

Yes the dealer was great. Im sticking with my bv2s. I have never had any issues with the bv2s in the 10 years i have had it. I was only looking at a new helmet because this one is 10 years old. Im just trying to stay away from something that needs to be plugged in. To many things could happen.

  2. I made a post asking about feed back on the new Exome helemet before i bought one and didn't really get much feedback on the helmet. Well i did buy one and used it on my Gaspe loop. We encountered cold, warm, snow, and rain on the trip. Here is my feedback on the helmet. Note that I chose to wear the helmet without plugging it in.

The very cold day (-25C windchill) that we had, a quarter of the visor did fog up.

The warm and little rain we got, the visor did not freeze up but it was still a bit foggy.

The warm day (-5C), condensation built up between the 2 lenses and had a light coating of fog on it.

Everytime I wore the helmet, condensation built up and froze solid ice on the release mechanism to lift the face of the helmet making it very hard to open the helmet. I feared that the release cable would break.

Nothing about the helmet impressed me.

Despite being warned that I wouldn't get refunded if I wasnt satisfied with the helmet, Eastern Powersport in Cornwall gave me a full refund.  Satisfaction guaranteed for the customer was more important. The purchase was only 1 week before using it

  3. My personal opinion. I would rather people keep their hands on the bars. I see to many shaky riders with one hand. Usually the first sled is a surprise anyways,  so just stay to your side and slow down a bit. Chances are if you haven't seen a second sled in 5 seconds there are no more sleds with that group. I really don't need a hand signal. In a straight away you can usually see the next person and if its in a curve you should be on your own side and both hands on the bar for the turn anyways. And then you get those newbies that think you are waiving at them lol.

    I’ve done this and agree.

Im sure someone here knows but I think it’s 587…a option that loops around over a mountain area with windmills…and down into Amqui…is stunning and a great way to end day 1 into Amqui. The day we did it was clear and the sunset views from the mountains there was amazing.

Yes we are taking the 587. Thanks

North shore is nice on 5 but trail from Murdocville to la cache is every bit as nice and not as much traffic ,just hope for blue bird day .If your going out to Perce rock allow lots of extra time that day as trail out and back is usually very slow going .Enjoy the trip .

Going to perce is only if we have time. It will make for a very long day because it looks like you would have to ride to chandler again for fuel before heading back up to Merdockville.

  6. hi looking for some info. im planning a 5 or 6 day trip around gaspe and was wondering what is a good riding km days? we would like to leave between 8am and 9am in the morning and be at our destination by dark. most of us are experienced riders but will have a person with only 2 years experience with us. i dont know what  the trail system is like. are 325 km days easily done in that time?
