  1. We went in 2011 and it was killer for certain! We stayed in Driggs Idaho about an hour south from the West Entrance. We did the the Park in two days and stayed at the Snow Lodge. Highly reccomended. Right at Old Faithful. The 2 strokers are a bit weird at first but who cares? You are there for the killer views and wildlife. You must go with a guide. Ours was extremely good. Teton Valley Adventures was our guide service. They are located in Driggs Idaho. They have it all. We were amazed at what they provided. You could walk in with a swimsuit on and come out fully decked in Klim. All their sleds were brand new doo's. We chose Driggs and that service because after riding in the Park we wanted to ride the mountains and they did not let us down. The " Big Holes" are right across the Tetonia Valley from the Tetons and are just as big and tall. We rode there for two days in uncut powder up to 13 thousand feet. They provided long track, 2 cycle, late model mountain doo's that were incredible. The elk and moose were plentiful. The price, for what they provided, was very reasonable. We smashed a sled up pretty badly and they were very reasonable about it. Take a peek at our video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Fk4dEVJFNI
  2. Happy Birthday! I was 58 Tuesday! 51 is not old my friend! ;-)
  3. Oh Boy! I believe the add reads 2011 GSX SE. Not trying to be a wise guy, but, it is all there.
  4. As always! A great report! Headed for St. Zenon and Real Masse this weekend! Thank you for your untiring reports!
  5. We were in St Zenon Monday thru Wednesday and a little moisture might not hurt as long as it is not too much. We were shocked at how much snow there was low in areas such Joliette, St Donat and St Come. I have to agree with Alain and that it will only tighten things up. The riding was superior.
  6. Just came back from that area and you will be very happy with the conditions in St Come and the surrounding area. It was killer riding! Lots of snow!
  7. Your right! This is a wonderful site and you will meet great people. Based on security being high on your list of requirements for your trip, in the St Zenon area I would recommend Real Masse as a place that you can feel entirely secure. Not only is it a first class hotel and restaurant, they have a heated garage that you can store your sleds in for a minimum fee. They have a web site that you can get information from. Enjoy your winter! Pray for deep snow!!!!!!! Bigadouch Your right! This is a wonderful site and you will meet great people. 8. Riding out west was a lot of fun and I have done Utah and Yellowstone before,,,, Truthfully Canada and especially the Sagaunay area are,,,, to me,,,,, the best riding. My goal this year is the area of Gaspe and up where Groomer and TQ 5 are. I hope it comes true for me. It looks like fun there. Dave DeFreest "bigadouch"
  9. We could not get our Club here in NY to take a trip to Canada this year past,,,, So a few of us decided to try Yellowstone National Park. It was great fun and we saw some outstanding country. The wildlife was unbelievable! They has a record year for snow. We used 4 strokers in the Park and used 2 strokers for two days outside the Park in the big hole area of Idaho. The weather was great and we had a fabulous time. Enjoy the video I made along with a friend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Fk4dEVJFNI Can't wait for Canada this year! It's the best! Bigadouch
  10. Great Post Andyman!!!! May I ask; What part of the Gaspe were you in? We want to do a trip in late February and, having never been, I am curious as to where you were. Thank You. Dave

  12. as always,,,, Thank You Groomer and Alain! Dave
  13. All the dealers here in NY say that to run any two cycle motor without additive is crazy! I have a lot of two stroke small engines and three sleds. We buy STARTRON by the case and everytime we fill up we give it a shot of "blue Juice" even though it is clear. I understand that the lower counties of NY are using ethanol that is as high as 15%. Use the additives. It is cheap insurance. I have seen, firsthand, what the water laden ethanol does to the top of pistons. I have a friend with a 2010 GSX 600 and he told I was nuts and full of it. Well, 683 brand new machine miles later, he burned a piston. The Startron suspends the water that comes with the ethanol in solution and allows it to be burned without catastrophic results. There are no gaurantees, but it does help.
  14. Can anyone tell about the conditions near Chicoutimi and or Lac St Jean? We are headed up Friday and any reports would be welcome. Thank you very much! Bigadouch
  15. Thanks Bill! Wow! 4 sleds in the water is not a good thing. I have never been there so i was curious to how the riding is. Thanks for your reply
