Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du lac Saint-Jean announces the construction of a ninth footbridge and completes the off-road tourist circuit "La Passerelle du 49e")

NORMANDIN, April 15, 2024 - The Porc régional des Grandes Rivières du lac Saint-Jean is pleased to announce today a major project for tourism development in Seguenay Lac Scint-Jean: the construction of a footbridge for off-highway vehicles (OHVs) over the Ashugomussuan River, an investment of $3.9 million. The infrastructure, the ninth of its kind since 2016, will complete Quebec's most important off-road trail: the La Passerelle du 49e quad and snowmobile circuit, a nearly 250-kilometre route that highlights the great rivers of northern Lac Saint-Jean and the boreal forest.
A true sustainable tourism initiative, the crcuit boosts the economy of local communities by confirming Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean as one of North America's premier snowmobiling destinations, and Lac-Saint-Jean as one of the world's best locations for ovenand adventure quad biking.
