ok timberman no worries
still snowing and they passed with the snow plow on my street just now
about 3 or 4 inches of fresh lovely white stuff we need every bit and more
so far is more snow then they predicted just like most times
will probably be fine for sunday but is up to you guys
I say go for it.
-
Might be ok but who knows water was high and flooded the trails good
Right now nobody riding here yet (would just tear it to shit)
Should be better for Sunday right now all closed for the most part here in the south
Lac St jean that is different but getting there on the first day from here could be interesting unless it snows alot more soon
just my 2 cents

Shawinigan/Mont-Carmel

Well she is trying to help us out and fix what she tore up with the rains
Is colder for sure and been snowing most of today
No Blizzard but nice and steady and maybe about 2" so far
They are not calling for alot but we will take what we can get
Much colder for fri and the weekend so they say and I assume things will get much better once some real cold returns to "set" the trails solid again
-
All so true. Best thing that could happen is that there will be no riders right now and they can groom it smooth and then the upcoming cold will freeze it in a smooth solid state. Then any snow will be like white paint on a tabletop.
x2 x2
exactly need to stay off the trails until they re freeze groomers now would destroy it for the season it needs to freeze again
-
Most trails are closed
Waiting for standing water to subside and Temps to fall
Warm still today and needs to re-freeze
Calling for 2-4 cm of snow thurs every bit is needed andd much more
WE DON"T WANT TO TEAR UP THE BASE NOW AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON
-
I think is on the 369 not on TQ23
between le tape and beauport on 369
-
it will be OK for sure just not right now
-
not sure on that I think you are in trouble for sure
the bus should run twice a day from somewhere there in la tuqe I know is not Ideal but can get you to the rigs
where you need to go for the trucks? don't need to be specific just a genearal idea would help.
-
still very warm
just around 0c
woke to about 1 in of new snow
need some cold to set the trails solid again very soft and flooded in spots for now
supposed to get colder and all we can do is wait
riding before it freezes up will only destroy the base we got
lots of water on the river near the Gov hotel and major slush
need to let it all freeze
It will starting tonight
-
French message board CMIQ reports all trails in Lanaudiere closed until further notice
Flooding 20km north of relais Koubec and other places
Worried about further damage to the base of the trail if used before it freezes again hence the shutdown
-
still got big flurries falling here and temps dropping for sure
we need some real accumulating snow for sure
will keep you posted
-
Rain was alll day and most of last night
Have not been out to ride and will wait to check things on wed.

Got some friends over in the Gaspe and waiting to hear from them will let everyne know when I hear from them
They were in Rimouski headed for Mt St Pierre today.
-
rain let up for an hr or so
now back very steady and heavy at times for sure supposed to continue for hours
seeing the radar I believe it.
will turn back cold after so we shall see
Will be icy thats a given
-
for sure time will tell
Is much more snow where Bill is than here in shawini so of course will be different there
rain has been coming down real heavy here and lots of ice on the trees from the early morning freezing rain
second picture not so good but tryed to show you the rain hitting the ground
-
Raining Like a bitch here
Freezing rain overnight now all rain and heavy
This will be a big major setback
the rain is province wide no escaping it
seeing the fact that we were down on snow to begin with this is a major bummer
We got serious problems
Without a major storm soon we are gonna be hurting
-
I know things can change and I sure hope is the case with the forecast
Shawinigan saying plus 6 here monday and 15-20 mm of rain NOT GOOD at all
Only time will tell
Let's all hope for them to be way off and for it to be all snow.
Rain will be a major setback for the area.
Looks like rain many places so stay tuned.
-
No problems is a little rough in spots but the farther north the better it gets
as for the weather your guess is as good as theirs
right now says mostly snow for monday and then some rain but I know they have no Idea has changed 3 times in 4 days
tell you wednsday

Not yet for 2010, see post #8 for conditions. Ive spent the last 2 yrs exploring this area. Widest, fastest part of the province
I agree with you for sure on the area
for sure is some of Quebecs finest trails
-
Wide open, super highway region of the whole province for sure. Might as well go to Matagami while your up there. Have fun
[/quote
so momo you are saying everything is wide open meaning exactly what???
all trails are open right now??? or in general trails are wide and open???
I agree is supehighway region been there lots of times
is no record snow year for sure and the conditions are what is in question here.
I hope I am wrong cause I have not been out west yet this year and maybe you have.
so if so please elaborate on how good the conditions were for you and where you rode when out there.(this season 2010)
-
better check the snow out west is not alot
chibougamu is probably an option but not much beyond there
just my 2 cents
