Hey everyone,
We are planning a trip and looking for any feed back so we will be starting from Saint Raymond Quebec and heading up to Caisino Charlevoix taking the 3 to the 378. Then from there we will be taking 378 to 3 then 93 towards Mont Valin, from there the 93 down to the 23 and back to Saint Raymond. Just trying to plan ahead and trails seem to be closing everywhere thanks again for any feed back.
Tried to reply but my post went missing.
I have seen a section of the #3 was closed but I believe a detour is in place and I am trying to confirm that now. Are you looking for any advise on places to stay or time to do the trip? let em know.
I will update this post when I have info on that section of #3

here is our plan is to start in St Raymond and ride to Baie-Comeau and catch the Ferry to Mutane and stay there overnight and meet our group ,we need a good halfway point to the ferry and where we can make the Ferry departure for 5 pm to Mutane.
also on our return when we come around the Gaspe would it be better to go to Levis and catch a shuttle across and get to the truck in st raymond ?????

That's exactly where we started from last time. Then we crossed the river on a barge and stayed at some motel in middle of nowhere, after that we spent a night at universal(was very nice) and back to signature(back then it was 4 seasons I think)
4 Points Hotel.
Did you cross the fiord in Tadoussac ?

If you simply did a normal 200 miles per day at normal riding speed you would have a great week and be able to enjoy the ride.
I would recommend starting at the https://www.hotelsignaturequebec.com just north of Quebec city (safe spot for trailers) If you head north first followed by south down through Mont Valens make time to stop at the https://www.fairmont.com/richelieu-charlevoix/ on the last night, it will leave you a 130 mile day at the end back to https://www.hotelsignaturequebec.com and you can drive home that day. I did this last Feb 1, prepare for COLD weather in Mont Valens.
Have fun, If you are Jan 25 to Feb 1st, Im sure we will pass each other at some point.

Hoping to start out the year (December 26) from The hotel Signature in Charlesbourg. I was hoping maybe someone lives in or has traveled through the area and could give me first hand trail conditions? Hoping to make it to Farimont Richeilou and back.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Merry Christmas.

Left RDL at comfy but cool temps. Got into the highlands and it was down right cold. Cut ride short at 170 miles to get back early and get warm. Saw temp was 11*F. !!! Trails were amazing, Lot of traffic today.
Tonight is the last night of Levesque Hotel's winter party. Second floor outdoor patio has an ice bar, fire pit, beach light torches etc. Only for the tough and only in Quebec. I went a couple nights ago, first time to the bar (also second floor) and first time in daylight savings (still light out at evening). View is amazing of the blue sky, cold gray water of the St L, and the snow covered mountains across the river. Was gorgeous.
A warning about using the tunnels for the short cut to Trail #5. west bound is like an ice chute just before the first tunnel. Meet an on coming sled coming out of the tunnel and disaster. Coming from east bound there is a mound coming out of one of the tunnels and you probably won't make it over the mound nor will you make it up the ice chute. Thanks to Jack and Sandy, they found a way around, all groomed. From the Universel, take the trail out front westerly, past the gas station, go straight along the roadway staying to the left side of the roadway. They leave a little snow along the road for the sled (until a good warm up), This is groomed all the way to the groomed trail that goes be the tunnels. Coming easterly, go straight by the tunnels and this way it is easier to see the trail, just a short stretch and you are at the hotel.

I tiped my sled over coming out of the tunnel 2 weeks ago!!! I can't wait for the 24th of March to be back in the area again.

Had 3 fantastic trips to Quebec last season, I was completely unaware of any restrictions on snowmobiling for Ontario residents other than needing separate hotel rooms.
Hope all is back to normal this year.....hotel rooms are not cheep!!
