  1. Great report and pics Alain, I am sure I am not the only one who fires his laptop up on a Sunday night looking for your report!
  2. Mike we were at the one near Rimouski on 5 near the power lines two weeks ago on a Monday and they were closed then
  3. There a few ways into NB probably either take 85 and cross at Degelis then take I think 12 to 17 to Moose Valley or probably the preferred route would be going through Sqatec to Biencourt on 35 then making a right on the Orange local trail, keep an eye out you will be on 35 and just after a small road crossing you have to go right. This will take you into NB and put you on 135 you can either stay on 135 to 17 intersection just North of Moose Valley or take 135 just a short distance into NB then take 150 (this trail is really nice) then take that to 17 which will bring you out just North of the 135/17 intersection. Not sure where your goal is for the night but the trail leaving Moose Valley on 17 N/E to 155 is awesome and brings you out in St. Irene Quebec
  4. They have been saying that for years, I think the real issue is there is not enough business in winter at least steady business
  5. The trips that go real smooth are the ones you forget
  6. I was there with my wife and another couple. We were riding the Yamaha’s
  7. Rodney, met some guys from your area last Tuesday night Wednesday morning in Murdochville was one of them you?
  8. Maybe we all need to start running Waze
  9. We missed you Mike, came up to Universal last Sunday and left there today about 1:30. Maybe next time
  10. Today finished the trip with an easy 75 mile run to the truck. Took 85 to 35 West to the Pohenemagook clubhouse. Continued on 35 to 544 back to 85 then 526 into Hotel Universal. All trails good Load up and start heading home. Almost 1200 miles for the week lots of snow low traffic and great grooming made for a great week, come and get it
  11. Think I figured out the pic thing, when I checked my profile it doesn’t show up as a contributing member for some reason
  12. Left Amqui yesterday and took the 587N Topped the gas at St. Irene then took the Orange trail 154 right there to Moose Valley NB. Trails down there are great groomed forestry roads, 100 miles from Amqui to Moose Valley Sporting Lodge. Had lunch there then took the 150 to 135 back to the border at Biencourt. Took 35 to Sqatec trails still in pretty good shape for a Saturday afternoon but much more traffic on the Quebec side. Continued on 35 after Sqatec through the twistys (should have taken 571) to 85 into Cabano to Hotel Fraser for the night. Can’t load pics for some reason will try later
  13. Yesterday left New Richmond and rose to the Carleton clubhouse for breakfast about 35 miles. Was thinking of doing the big loop on the orange trails above Carleton but decided it would create a gas situation and add too much to the day so we continued on 5 West stopping at the Relay at L’Alverne. We then took the Orange trail across the street to bypass PALC then reconnected with 5 West toward St. Margarite. We saw the mechanics frantically working on Groomer’s dead pony but all things considered the trail was still pretty good. Got the gas then took a break at the Coulee Verte clubhouse. Stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for the night.
  14. Yes Groomer his wife has a restaurant out there I guess and she helps at the snowmobile club. They live there now
  15. Playhard here is a pic
  16. Lots of snow up there now, always windy up top so the grooming doesn’t hold up too long
  17. Yamaha makes a turn out kit for the exhaust. They come out like 45 deg. And they attach with pop rivets
  18. Today left Gaspe and took 5 in the direction of Percé but after the suspension bridge we took the right onto the Orange trail that heads to 597. Trail was in great shape and we had a quick run to 597. Took 597 South through the gorge section and onto piston alley making quick work of that we tackled the twistys to Chandler where we took some gas then continued up the trail to the Chandler clubhouse for an early 10:30 lunch. The nice lady cooking our meal asked where we were from and seemed surprised and impressed when we told her Pennsylvania. 15 minutes later her husband came through the door and came over to talk to us. He introduced himself, Jean Perron coach of the 1986 Stanley Cup winning Montreal Canadiens! We had a great talk with him then headed further on 5 West finally getting out of the twistys after Port Daniel. Traffic definitely picked up today on the South shore, we saw more sleds today than we did the entire week but trails remain good just a few stutter bumps here and there in the corners. Topped the tanks at Saint Godifroi then rolled to the clubhouse at Prebesiac for a break and a snack. Went out the back door there on the local trails and reconnected to 5 West and hit some great trails all the way to New Richmond. Staying at the Hotel Francis tonight.
