  6. Merry Christmas JG, Happy and Prosperous new year and let's all try to forget about 2021.
  7. I hear you, I'm a lifelong car/ power sports guy, and shop owner, who has built and wrenched and raced a lot of stuff, and loved every minute of it. Electric sleds are eons away...no grid to recharge and you will be stuck unable to go anywhere , and all trails will be like LeCabanon at days end from everyone riding in the same circle. Solid state batteries are on the way, solid state lithium, they last 25 years and recharge in 30 minutes. I have driven quite a few electric cars....recently a Hyundai Kona....goes 250 miles on a charge and goes a 125 miles for 7 dollars. I hate to admit...the car is incredibly impressive....in the handling and performance category especially.Way better overall than a Tesla...not even close as a matter of fact. New battery technology will soon bring the cost of these cars down to reasonable....but we are years away from a grid that can charge everyone's electric car. I'm not interested in an electric sled until everything is worked out as far a battery life and grid infrastructure. There is one thing I do know...they will be incredible to ride when it finally happens and the performance will be mind bending...go test drive a Hyundai Kona...you won't want a salesman with you and put it thru the paces....handles better than an all wheel drive Carrera, and pulls like an 850 Polaris..and it's silent...corner to corner is incredible...and it burns rubber like a 302 66 mustang, and it's going to get much better....I hear you loud and clear, I'm not ready for electric sleds just yet but just like when everyone said emissions and 4-stroke would kill sledding and they just kept getting better...same thing is just starting to happen again...and the performance and reliability gains are going to be incredible.
  8. This is starting to hurt thinking we may not get to ride this winter if there is no place we can stay and the border keeps getting tighter, great pics as usual
  9. locking down...numbers get low then do it again....until it goes away?? hopefully early signs are it's getting milder...and we can get over this yo-yo!!
  10. heard about this place but never been there, raining today, hopefully we will get some snow this winter, but not looking good yet, ground is still soft, 18 one day 50 the next, maybe I will drive my car to this place some weekend, be well, Bob.
  11. If he breaks down and needs a flat bed...we got a problem Houston. I'm not even going to begin to figure out this thought process...it's not good.
  12. I actually live on the top of October Mountain at 2000 ft...and never ride there other than maybe a rip across the lake now and then, I've ridden Maine and western New York and western Tug hill by lake Ontario, and a little of Vermont...but mostly just been spoiled 3 weeks a year riding Quebec since 1988.When I was a kid in the late 60's and early 70's I rode the Berkshires 3 -4 nights a week and every weekend...we loved riding nights back then...no more...and most of the places we rode no longer exist...we had the real estate back then...now we have the sleds...so it's been all Quebec!!
  13. I really feel terrible for you guys, and everyone here who has high hopes of returning to normalcy...just a few days ago all of us and the outfitters were nearly in celebration of a really great season....I need the time off and away and they need our revenue, early indications are this variant is much less a hospitalization problem than the first 2 waves, this may be premature.
  14. I may have saved money by not purchasing an early pass, $#&*#!!
  15. Sure hope Road Runner and gang aren't going to be the only group who rides this winter...BUT THIS DOES NOT SOUND PROMISING !!!
  16. Staying right will have a whole new context, just get on the trail and get as far out of town as you can and stay out there for a week, going to be a lot of patrol and accidents.
  17. JG it's starting to shape up, looking good!!
  18. The only thing that could be better than these posts is if I was there, I can almost feel it from my desk and cannot wait to get there, I was one of the very last people to leave 2 years ago late March and you the first to return, many thanks, you have gotten all of us prepared for the home coming, have a great winter, Bob.
