Pretty sure most is closed like this to try to keep people off the soft trails and beating them up too much and from coming across any water crossings that might be flooded from runoff and/or might not be safe. St Michael des Saints club and St Zenon I believe were both asking cooperation from snowmobilers to not ride until the temperatures drop and the club can get it back open if possible. 
Have not seen Abitibi in person if the snow was not like a real snow year then perhaps it is over in Abitibi. Depends how much snow they had and how much they could afford to lose. 
Lost alot near towns mostly. Here in Gaspe. Mud and Asphalt to get to Gas in Matane today. Snow level dropped big.

When you go into town there to go to the hotel it is not the easiest to find your first time. There are signs and you need to ride through the neighborhood a bit.

Thanks Sledfarmer, I’ve been crossing it the last few week ends riding to and from my cottage in Duhamel.
I made a call to the club president back then and I would like to share with all of you what he said. 
The trail will be marked closed indefinitely on the FCMQ interactive map from now on. The club will no longer be staking the ice for insurance reasons. However the even though  the red line on the interactive map runs up on land for a bit, the trail is still maintained and groomed to the river, while on the river stay with in the tracks that have already be made. Basically follow the river on the north side from Montebello to Fasset where you can cross to Lafavre and catch the Ontario trail system. The crossing at Fasset/Lafavre is staked by the locals.

Yes  it's all good now , I finally got talking to a buddy yesterday that has a cottage at Montebello and he said trail is marked across with trees and sleds are running it .

Says it’s closed but I’m sure sleds are running it. I may try it on the week end heading up to my cottage.
We’ve been riding the river from the Carillon dam to Cushing, Qc already this year, roughly 8 klms on the river with no staking and there never is, 14” of ice there now.
 

No locals in VD Ice 
passesd a few SDQ cruisers parked in strange areas along the highway on the way in this time but didn’t bother us. Fueled at Ultramarine Louvicourt with one in the lot there as well and nothing.

Double duty! The doggies can keep the breathboxes warm all afternoon when they come back around!

Chilly start again but ces’t la via. Meandering back to Forestel today. Thinking 307  caddilac malartic maybe run down 309 and back.

Did you have any problems getting to Valdor ? Friends of mine tried going last weekend and got turn around by local law enforcement . Drove total of 12 hrs and never got to see a trail.

Zero morning traffic. Fast and tight all day. Definitely long John weather though. Gourmet trailside beefaroni and steamed dogs for lunch.
Tucked in at Atmosphere now. Val Dor Via Cadillac and environ tomorrow
