  1. Thanks for that info Whaler but i don't think i'll be heading that way i was looking at returning to NB through the Biencourt trail. I have not done that one yet. Could you tell me how were/are the trails south of Biencourt to Moosevalley and on to Edmonston? Thanks JG
  2. You can't miss that exit, the highway splits at RDL, 2 lane highway splits into 4 lanes, 2 to the left goes to RDL, 2 to the right goes to New Brunswick. Nice St.Hubert restaurant at the bottom of the hill. I'll be there on thursday sometime. JG
  3. Is there a fine for that??? Dam those mooses Don't listen to this guy, he's Craaazzzy.lol. Your tracks are going to fly off at high speed.
  4. Hi Whaler I'll be heading to Edmonston after the gathering in Causapscal and would like to know the milage from the intersection at Biencourt to Edmonston. Thanks JG
  5. Front suspension and direction all together and tight as a ???. Working on chaincase bearings, jackshaft and drive shaft bearings, i did the rear end and exhaust last year. I should be good 'till 25k now. Will be out this week end for a test run before the Gaspe gathering. Now rent a sled and lets ride. Better to ride with the devil you know than the devil you don't. 25yrs some marriages don't even last that long.
  6. Amazing, i wish i could could get that kind've milage from a tank on my sled. 190k and i'm out . I need to keep spare gas on board for those 200k stretches some times but 150 miles(240k) is to unspeak of.
  7. Would be nice if you could post a pic or two of your articles for sale along with the add.
  8. Wow Linda you drove all the way up to Meekoos, you don't fool around do you. Right to the good stuff. That's one of my favorite watering holes up there, you should have seen that place before they built the log house, not the same at all! They once had a jaberwacky on the wall.lol. Nice pics, keep us up to date on the your ride, i am going out to ride next week end and haven't decided on where yet, St.Zenon or Mt.Laurier.
  9. Really...one tank, were you carrying spare gas and did you use it? That is some stretch with out fuel!
  10. Wow! Those are nice pics Andyman, glad to see there is snow and trails over there awaiting for all of us unfortunate snowmobilers who are just dying to get out . I look forward to your report later.
  11. Just think of them as your scouts for now.

  13. Are you kidding me mon homme.........fantastico!
  14. Hi Linda I am very familiar with this area, i spend most of my riding just north of Mt.Laurier, i just had a look at some local club websites for that area and you can ride out of Mt.Laurier, however, if you arrive there and the conditions don't suit your fancy, i would suggest to drive a little to the north to a town called Ferme Neuve, only 20 minutes more. First place i would suggest you to ride to is Devils mountain relais aka Relais Mountagne Diable and pick up some local maps, very nice club house btw. The woodrunner map (Courrier du Bois) have trails that inter link between outfitters and are absolutely beautiful to ride on, all forest roads. I have added two links below of local clubs, pay particular attention to the the conditions in the Chute St.Phillippe club, it lists some of the outfitters you'll find on the woodrunner map in the red highlighted zone and that's where you wanna be. http://www.woodrunnertrail.ca/trails-condition.html http://www.motoneiges.ca/actions/showClub?lg=en&page=pres&cid=202 Good luck at let us all know how it went, oh and don't forget to show some pics.JG
  15. Ahhhh you're killing me with those pics Groomer, i'm toss'n turning at night thinking of snow, watching the weather report each morning only to be disappointed. Then theres those pics of yours, you're killing me Groomer, just killing me. I think i'm gonna go for an atv ride and pretend.
  16. Yup...it's gonna be a lot of fun. Looking forward to going back to the Gaspe.
  17. Dealer called this morning...the rest of the parts are in and the sled will be back together by the week end just as soon as i can get out of the shop, oil light bushings make the front end feel real tight btw, good investment, will last much longer now. I'm debating weather i should change my chaincase bearings, jackshaft and driveshaft bearings now, i did them at 8000 and now i have 14000. Hmmm....
  18. Ha Ha Ha Ha You guys sound alot like a group of guys i know around here.
  19. Hi Crazysnow, i may be a lone rider on this event, sure would be nice to ride in with a group of guys rather than to drive all the way to Causapscal, 9hrs for me. You got room for more to hang out with in the trails? JG
  20. I usually budget around $250 a day, this would be based on a 200 mile day and a average of $1.25/l of gas. You may find gas selling in town at $1.15/l and in remote areas at $1.50/l as goes for the rooms, in town around $85.00/prs/night based on dbl occupancy incl super and breakfast and in remote areas such as outfitters around $125.00 a night same conditions. My sled (2008 Apex LTXGT) averages 35 litres of fuel per 180klms, two fuel tanks gives me around 320klms(200 miles)@ $1,25/l = $87.50 in fuel, add the room @ $125.00, some lunch @ $20.00 and a few drinks...you're around the 250 mark. Of course you can shave off a few bucks by buying your fuel in town and finding a cheap motel and ordering out pizza but this only means you can have more beers with the pizza so your effort in saving is out the window. Keep to the bucket list Yamaha Jim.
