  1. This is a spot we can relate too. The Southern end of the 595 just before Pin Rouge. Macdav is 5'10". He just stepped off the groomed surface. This was taken March 7 2008.
  2. That shirt looks like one that would fit Mubs more than you!! Should I say that before my GPS is reloaded??
  3. Yes, the one at the Interprovincial. I don't believe there is any gas between there and the Irving by the bridge.
  4. Good to see you on QuebecRider MACDAV. You look really good on that Ski Doo.
  5. The gas station at the Interprovincial in Pointe a la Croix is now longeer open. I was through there 4 weeks ago, appartently they couldn't compete with some of the other nearby stations. Hopefully there will be trails groomed into either the Irving down the street or the station on the Reserve. A pretty important gas stop.
  6. I believe there is a meeting this Thursday December 2nd. I am very optimistic things will turn out in favor of the FCMQ.
  7. Everyone should re read the last line of the above post. Alcohol, speed, and water are the cause of most snowmobile deaths and injuries in North America. Please everyone, ride safe, ride sober, and in control at all times.
  8. I think I have drank beer in that camp in the first picture!! I know I have drank a lot of beer in the camp shown in the fifth picture.
  9. When i spoke the the President of the FCMQ ealier this month he indicated to me that this bridge would be ready before the end of the winter as well. That was a terrible place before, there was close to a mile of bare pavement that had to be driven on!
  10. Some pretty nice pictures and a good video JG. Keep them coming! Looking good for our American nieghbors having a place to snowmobile on their Thanksgiving long weekend I will see you in the Gaspesie in a little over a month, it is tradition.
  11. I think we saw a cow and calf in that same cutover this fall. We were just coming up from the bottomof it.
  12. You don't need any tricks, you would never leave the bar then!! Not that I would blame you for staying there!
  13. There is a nice one behind the bar at the Albertville Clubhouse!!
  14. Quite the memory you seem to have tonight Andyman!!
  15. Hmmm? Just because I forgot all my paper work home...would that be what you are referring to Andyman? LOL BTW I showed them 100% respect even before I realized I didn't have it and the gave me a break Hossenda I always have liked the Quality Inn in Matane, good resturant, bar, and snowmobile friendly. Gas, beer, & stores all very close. The Riotel is also very good on the other side of town if you want something fancier, it also has all the ammenities close by sled.
  16. Welcome to Quebecrider Hossenda!! Likely the Universal in RDL is the safest place to start and leave your truck. To my knowledge the only XXX nightlife left in the Gaspesie is in Matane. Someone else chime in if there is any other spots open. Hard to recommend the perfect route, maybe the first time go around the whole thing along the coast, very scenic. Don't short change yourself with time, five days would give a good tour of the outside and maybe one of the interior trails. I bet you will come back again. Hope this is some help.
  17. Hopefully they will come up with some sort of solution that satasfies the farmers soon. Snowmobiling in Quebec generates an economic impact of $1.5 BILLION every year! That was the number a two years ago. It may be down a bit with the down turn in the USA enconomy.
  18. Would this be for all trails or just ones in residential areas?
  19. Andyman and I looked at that new loop last week. You would have to double back to La Cache for sure for gas. One end of the trail starts a couple miles west of the Carleton Clubhouse. Andyman and I went part way up a couple winters ago and had to turn around because of roads being plowed for wind farm development. That should be a fantastic trail, it looks to be going right through the Fairbault (sp) area.
  20. Happy Birthday Rob! Hope you have a good day with all your family. Hope all is well and maybe we will cross trails this winter. I will also echo Bill's sentiments, thanks for this board and the HUGE contribution you have made to snowmobiling with all the other boards you have started and administered. Happy Birthday
  21. Good News. That makes for a nice loop, I will ride it this winter for sure. Nice to hear we are gaining the odd trail instead of always loosing them.
  22. I am sure if a person was running a machine with stock exhaust making very little noise and respecting the homeowners there would be very little problem if you were caught after hours trying to get home or to your motel. JMO
  23. I am sure Groomer will sell you a permit depending on where you would like to start. Should you have trouble lining up with him there is a Yamaha dealer just as you cross into PQ that would have all the different permits available.
