  1. Been a few of us talking and planning, likely be up between Christmas and New Years. Hopefully you will have lots of snow then.
  2. Just came from the Post Office, Umlah and I are now legal and ready two go!! Thank you for getting the permits sent out so quickly, it is also nice to get everything sent with the permits: Service Guide Matepedia Trail Map Gaspesie Trail Map Quebec Trail Map Thanks Buddy, I hope you sells lots of permits for your hard working club.
  3. That will be the next issue. I heard the weather forecast was calling for a warm up! That much snow in warm temps will get very heavy!!
  4. There has been some talk on having a QR gathering the weekend of the 14th in the Gaspesie. That would make your plans right on.
  5. More wood there then in our mill yard!! Maybe I should come up with the check book to buy some Gaspesie wood!!
  6. Haha. Well you are starting off with the right attitude, you need two extra days "just in case"!! Most places in the Gaspe that early in February you should be safe to just drive in. However learning from experience it doesn't hurt to try to book the day before on weekends because of hockey tournaments etc. Be sure to run some of the interior trails if possible, 595, 597, and the trail from Carleton to the 595. The trail from La Cache to Murdochville is also very nice. As far as places to stay that are a bit high end, the Roitel in Matane, the Francis in New Richmond, and the Select in Amqui. Staying in Mont Saint Pierre at the Motel/Hotel is a must, it is iconic!
  7. Yes, I have heard the penalty for parking in the wrong place has severe repercussions!!
  8. It will be interesting to hear the story on Clova and how Dominic will manage the Tamarack. For a small community it certainly has lots of rooms, between the school house, the big cabin, and now the Tamarack. Clova has always been one of my favorite stops, a neat little spot in the middle of nowhere.
  9. If I buy you two will you load it on my GPS????
  10. I am surprised they aren't going to sell gas. A facility that size is not easily shut down, I would think there would have to be some heat kept on and security on site. Selling gas would help offset these costs somewhat. However doesn't look like that will be the case, a big hole in the trail.
  11. That is my favorite kind of trailer!! A Buddies!!! LOL
  12. Did the gas station in Weymatachi (sp) open last winter?
  13. I certainly hope you are wrong too Andy, the lose of that trail would be huge!!
  14. It would be a whole different thing back then, the sleds would only have a .50 lug on the tracks! Not what you would call a good powder track.
  15. Fuel range is becoming more and more important with new sled selection as these places close.
  16. Wow it looks like winter!! Is that up by the school bus?
  17. The exchange rate is good news for our riding partners south of the border. It has certainly been unfavorable for the past few years. I hope this help bring back some riders that have shyed away to return to Quebec. The Quebec snowmobile business is certainly in need of a banner year! Buy the bargain priced permit and see you on the trials.
  18. The third week can get risky in march some years.
  19. Tim and I will get some wine in you before the speech, can't hurt. LOL
  20. Watch out Linda that is a trap!! You will never see your sled again and you will be stuck grooming the rest of the winter. JG will be gone retracing his route from the Harricana race around Chibougamau!!
  21. Jean Guy is the first man into the Cable Bridge on the snow for the winter!!
