  1. Good to see you back on the Board. Good luck with your challenges.
  2. I will vouche for the Royal, a great spot to stay. I think his name is Tony, an excellent guy that runs a very snowmobile frenidly and secure spot. Just my $0.02 worth
  3. Good to hear positive updates on the 900, hopefully the cheerleaders will massage out the sore spots.
  4. I agree with Ray, share the cheerleader pics!!
  5. The easiest ones to find are on the trail between La Lache and Murdochvile. The ones Groomer had on the video are just west of his club behind the ski hill Mt Irene (not sure on the name but I can drive there lol). Both are well worth seeing and of course more important getting a picture of you and your sled in front of!!
  6. No problem, tell me what weekend you want to do it. Line up a sled and I will be up. We can go to the radar or LA Cache.
  7. Haha. Pretty cool. Andyman and I saw trees just like those on the LA Cache / Murdochville trail last weekend. No video proof though.
  8. Like Handyman said, we turned around and all the good spots were gone......crafty devils!!!!
  9. Maintaining current trail conditions is a huge job, bigger than people realize and takes a lot of man power. I was speaking to someone at the FCMQ about it a couple weeks ago. They were trying this format to see how it works with someone else managing it.
  10. Am I the only one or does anyone else find the Trail Conditions on the FCMQ site doesn't work really well?
  11. Looks like you had great trails.
  12. Would be a poor spot to have flat tire !!
  13. I bet the first wolf in the line is the toughest and meanest!!
  14. My guess is you are going to see a huge difference in your ride, for the better. The sled has more than enough power to turn that long a track. I am saying this from having owned 3 144" track machines you will find Quebec riding better than ever.
  15. Too easy, pull into the yard at the Colibri, walk inside and ask them to call the shuttle. The 10 passenger van with a 4 place trailer pulls in and takes you to the other side for $30/sled. It drops you at the Berenices
  16. A cold frosty night and the drag will cut a lot of those little bushes off. Another foot of snow will help too!!
  17. Tom Don't let this make you hesitate going to the Gaspesie!! I have crossed many, many times without incident. Should something by chance happen, it is just part of this great adventure we call snowmobiling, and gives you something to write about on QR
  18. I was with Andyman during the 13hr 5min voyage, believe me the ferry is not a fancy cruise ship LOL For the most part the ferries are very right on schedule, but again as Andyman suggested, reservations are a good idea.
  19. I seems to me that motel rooms are a little harder to find in Quebec this season. The group I usually travel with started planning our big winter trip about a month ago, we thought we would book some of our rooms ahead in our destinations. To our dismay some of the places we hoped to stop on certain nights had already been sold out. This was a bad thing for us, it seems from reading posts on the board others are running into the same problem. This in my opinion is a good sign that snowmobile tourist traffic may be up this year over the past few. More consistent bookings will help keep the places we like to frequent stronger financially, we have lost too many places in the last 8years.
  20. Yes they are, I met them last year. They certainly had passion
  21. Remember we are only hearing one side of the story! There may be important details we are not hearing. Lots have stayed with Dominic in the past and have nothing but good reports.
  22. We should not jump up and down saying there are good guys and bad guys here. There has been a business transaction take place and we are really only hearing one side of the story. There have been a lot of people on this board stay in Clova with Dominic in the past at the schoolhouse or the big cabin and have nothing but good reports. We should be happy that Dominic is expanding his business and not closing it!! There would be a huge hole in the trail if he were to pack up and close his gas station, this has happened in too many of these small communities. Just my opinion.
  23. This is certainly an option that should be explored. Everyone has plans now to head toward that area.
  24. I wasn't really surprised to see who number one was!! Just wait till number two looks at the board! LOL Great to see you again Jean Guy. Food was good as always at the clubhouse!!
