  1. Sorry to hear of the problems. Your trips are always so enjoyable to read and quite the adventure, knowing the two of you are out in the wilds alone. If you can't salvage the rest of this trip, you need to make another one so we have more good reading. mike
  2. Pat and Gary. Good job of stealing our hearts So good to see both of you. mike
  3. Probably a safe decision to move it, based on snow and future forecasts. Sorry that Bill did all that work lining things up for RDL. I too will try to make reservations at the Delta, coming in the weekend before and doing day rides all week. mike
  4. Home safe. Fantastic week of great snow and smooth trails. But the best was seeing so many old friends. Left too early this morning to say bye to all, but really happy Bill was there to say thank you Great time with SnowCrazed and Brandon, never laughed so hard. Thanks everyone. Safe trip Pat and Gary. mike
  5. As I recall from many (many) years ago, thieves would get the VIN plates off crashed cars, and put them on stolen cars.
  6. It is my understanding the Doo DESS can't be bypassed. Also SkiDoo has a great computer system and you can have your dealer enter the VIN as a stolen sled. The thief needs to go to a dealer to get a new DESS key and have it programmed to the sled with the computer. At least that is how I understand it.
  7. Can't complain, over 2,000 miles this week and that was the only bad part, so 1.950 miles of perfection. This area is doing an amazing job of grooming! Snowcrazed had the ferry on his bucket list, was worth it to see his grin. mike
  8. Hi Steve, you are right. We went 83 south and 383 east just hitting trails we hadn't ridden. We got to trail 3 and group said we were only 10 minutes to ferry. We decided at last second to go for it. Still glad we did it, Many years since I rode moguls that big! lol mike
  9. Today BCahill, SnowCrazed and I did the ride down to the ferry and back. 300 miles. All good until we neared Chapel area. Huge moguls from there to Hotel, few hours of light rain. Several inches of new snow before the Chapel. mike
  10. The last 1/2 K has to be walked up, not ridden. Too deep to walk. Very steep and narrow ride, we barely made it. mike
  11. Today was day 9 of riding out of the Delta. Only bad day was today coming thru Mt Valin. All other days of riding perfect. Recommend riding around the lake, ride to truck stop at Milot, and ride to ONachinary for coffee break and on to Mt Valin Restauran for lunch. Also trail 83 south to Clermont and over to Manoir Richelieu. May be a long time before I go to Mt Valin again after today. Not to be confused with Mt Valin Restaurant, which is in a different area and is excellent riding. mike
  12. Mark, you are doing great. I would have posted trails are great just so people would come to RDL and buy me drinks! You are doing a great job. mike
  13. Thanx for your posts Snowdog. So many people want to know snow conditions on a year like this. Appreciate your honesty. mike
  14. RR Conditions are still great. Went to St Bruno today and Scooby Doo and then down to Mt. Apica. Over by St Bruno about ten inches of fluff. Mt. Apica got snow then rain but good riding. Came back by Evasion Arctic Cat and all excellent. Did not see any snow loss, only gains. mike
  15. Hi RR, In Jonquiere and area while riding yesterday looked to be 4 to 7 inches of snow in areas. Turned to freezing rain late afternoon and then cold rain, no snow afterwards. Doesn't look like we really lost any snow, only concern is lube and cooling. I think after sleds go over the trails will be okay or after groomers break up the thin hard top layer may be good. Will know more today after we go out and ride. I have reservations til Saturday, if it is good and I can get a room, will stay until next Tuesday. mike
  16. Jacket is right, but red and orange Renegade. Mike
  17. The two red and black sleds mated, and if you look, the results were one black sled and one red sled.
  18. Somewhere today in that northwest corner I passed a bunch of two ups. Moment later a tall guy on an Apex followed by one other sled. Thought right off that had to be the famous Iceman! I have had the pleasure over the years of meeting famous actors and dignitaries. But having Iceman pass by, that is memorable!!! mike
  19. If your doctor gives you a medical prescription for a new snowmobile, your health insurance will pay for it. mike
  20. Jack and Sandi, I might add that le Cage has the best Poutine I have ever head in Quebec. Also the duck confit poutine is awesome. mike
  21. Many hours north of RDL is also freezing rain. mike
  22. Very nice Alain, you and your wife enjoy the true meaning of snowmobiling; being with friends and seeing the beauty of the land in its winter white. mike
  23. My wife had both her hips replaced. No problems, she can do more now than before. The surgery will not stop you from riding. mike
