  1. Well I guess alls well that ends well. The snowmobile Gods have punished these guys for leaving me home. Sled problems have brought there trip to an early end. They came home 2 days early. I do feel bad for them, but next time they will know better. I hope there isnt a next time.
  2. I was bustin my buddies until they called me this morning to tell me how good it looked. Its going to be torture a friend week now. I know those bastards wont let up all week if conditions are good. I dont know what I ever did to deserve this treatment. And if they say a reason why, dont beleive them.
  3. Boy Fuzzy Im glad you dont ride with me, you have no compasion for the sick or badly injured.
  4. I just had knee surgury yesterday, and my so called "Buddies' called me and told me they are leaving monday for a trip to Quebec, knowing I cant ride for at least a few weeks.Do you think I should continue to talk and or even ride with these no good rotten low life SOBs or try and find a better class of riders/friends to associate with. PS, these dirtbags say that they will keep me so well informed about the trip it will be like I am ALMOST there. Now I would Never do this to a real friend of mine, so please let me know what you would do. Thanks from a laid up Friend.
  5. Thanks Mark, nice video,we rode that trail 2 weeks agoand it was great but we are trying not to drive so *&^%%$ far for our next trip.
  6. How long before we can ride good trails south of Mt Valin?
  7. People at the Escomins clubhouse said you can get to Pelchat. We were there Saturday.
  8. We did the trail to Escomins Club house Saturday, pretty good. There a big logging operation going on so you have to ride about 10 miles of plowed road before you get to Escomins grooming. Enough snow to keep things cool, but could be a problem if there is a big warmup. Plenty of snow all they way down there. We were going to try the 93 trail back but they said logging at the bottom of 93 so we didnt try it.Too early to take a chance.
  9. Was there this weekend, trails were very good for early season. You can stay at Auberge 31 in the Mts, but very expensive or the Passion at the ski area, or truck from Jonquiere, Holiday Inn or Sagineene, both very nice places to stay. Godd luck, it will be very busy the week between the holidays
  10. 523 and 55 wont take you anywhere Sherbrooke.
  11. First day cross in Canaan, Rt523 to rt 55. Rt 55 to Thetford Mines or St Georges. Second day East on 35 or 55 to 5 to Riviere du Loop, From there do a search on this site, all kinds of opinions about which way is the best route around. Have a good trip.
  12. Hope you have a good trip, see you when the snow gets deeper. Steve
  13. C'mon Bill we are leaving Thurs PM for a few days in the Mts. You can meet us in Derby and go up and try out that new sheild. Steve
  14. More extention than most, see how they do over the bumps and let us know.
  15. Try leaving from Thetford Mines. Very easy in and out, and a great place to do day trips. Balmoral Hotel is right on trail, and has resturant and bar. Has been very safe place for us for years.
  16. Nice pics Iceman. Looks like a great summer ride. Hope to see you on the trails. 800 Steve
  17. Good or bad, by the time mid December comes around we are ready to ride. Have been to the Mts most years in Dec, sometimes great sometimes not so great, but like the man said, its better than sitting home on the couch.
  18. Went Sat and Sun, rode 603 miles. Awsome. Dont know if they stopped grooming around town, it was rough, but once you get out of town, its mid winter conditions, north and south.
  19. Drive to La Tuque, ride up from there. The western part of the lac is as good as I have ever seen it, mid winter condition. We went up Friday nite, stayed at the HI, rode 284 miles on Sat, below the Sagenay River. Sunday we did 318 miles aroud the Lake, maybe the best I have ever seen it. Most times this time of the year, you have to go to the mtns, but not for another few weeks.
  20. Lac St Jean is still very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Planning to go up the weekend of 19/20. Does anyone know conditions in the valley or will we have go to the mts? thanks Steve
  22. Was just there last week. TQ5 is a much nicer ride than 35. Not as fast, but riding rail trails all day long is pretty boring. We went from RDL to Thetford Mines on 5 to 540. Left at 9:00, were at the hotel by 5:00. You can make great time on the 5 trail.
  23. Left our truck there for a week, last year. Still there when we returned. Always a little knot in the gut when you turn the last corner around the hotel upon return from a long trip.
