    New Snow

snow man what is your location? Fl?
  4. You can hang your hat on that. I always stay at the nordic when coming from the saw mill.
  5. that's a shitty deal. (I have dry humor)
  6. I cut the last 20 or so miles off most of the time by doing that you avoid all the slow areas. save a lot of time especially when your alone and it is 35 below. Funny if your behind a group and do that the look on their faces at the pump is priceless.
  7. I would stay in the area you just rode and expand from that point via saddle bags. Both are very nice riding areas but you could go further north for a loop. I will be in Laurier feb 24 to the 6 of march solo (wife) may fly up later. You and your husband are welcome or any one else. My plan is a tour nights depend on schedule of others as to the size of the ride I would love to go around the lac from their if the group has the time. Pm me if it works for you Jesse
  8. Nice stop by the rabaska to check my rig. Just joking but it is there. Tell her and company to come back first weekend in Feb I'm doing a ride solo then. By the way her .......th birthday is very soon get the group to do something. Have fun guys
  9. Yes I leave my trailer at rabaska the truck at plattsburg NY. Some times I store the trailer towards St Raymond. But I generally leave the rig in ny
  10. I can get you when. I come up from Florida. Just need a place to land
  11. Can't say with for sure that dam ski do is blocking the view of the mall entrance
  12. Drinking is a pre request. In moderation. I have had some greet rides with lady's I know including my wife. She does loose her motivation after 200 miles at25 to 45 below. But if a spa is in the itinerary she will get it done.
  13. go on line trailer depot very good prices. I bought marine quality last year for mine
  14. For what it's worth snow pro is what I use. Worthington would be my next choice
  15. I know that area I graduate from wilks. Engineering structural
  16. What area in the Poconos I have a place west of that town of driftwood. I title the sleds in pa for some odd reason Florida doesn't I. Wonder why. Do you live in that area.
  17. My 2 cents. Some one mentioned North Bay that is a fine idea. I have ridden out of that area several times (one time to the Polaris factory and back). If you still want to tow into Qc Mount Larurier would be the farthest east I would travel. Seven days you could do a basic figure 8 of the area. I leave my trailer at the Rabaska in Mount Laurier and ride out of their for tours. (generally like this year arrive Dec 22 fly home then come back several times) Personally I would high side through clova to the lake. Take it out to Tadoussac and down. Many very nice places to stay along the way. My second suggestion would be to pick one area and perhaps over night in multiple directions that would give you a taste of that expanded area to build on. Plus side is your never more then a few hours to the trailer if issues come up. I did the above last year alone(high side the lake) be prepared I have sat phone if I'm alone. For the record I will be doing that ride 2 week of Feb if your group is interested so far I'm solo again. No matter what you plan your still out doing something unique and exhilarating I have had more enjoyable days only going 100 miles but the beauty and memories I will take with me. Two rides every one should do is the gaspee and labrador if you thirst for adventure Jesse
  18. Good morning Bill Information and such sent today. I included additional for the return postage cost. Thank you for the savings Jesse
  19. I personally find the idea interesting. I wonder if you would have over heating issues? I may have to bring one of the spare renegade down south to Florida for usage.
  20. How do you like the scala riders. My wife and I would like to buy a communication set. Do they work well, how do they work on modular helmets. Any info would help.
  21. I don't know the location of this moose but st raymond has one like it. Supposed to be a replica of the record moose taken some years ago.
  22. They had issues before the buy out. None since that time. I have left numerous time no issue. Additionally a good place to leave from
  23. Sounds good. Langhorne are office used to be in Richboro. Then we moved out to York road and Edison Furlong Road. I moved the company south to Florida several years ago but still have family in the are. Usually spend my time in Cameron Country at the cabin. Mostly hunting the riding out their well they don't have any. Wow that is an area I haven't driven through in a few years. Visited my Uncles Chevy dealership in New town (before it closed) but I think that was the last time in the area. Back to the real topic Choko saddlebags are very good. That being said i think you have them. Somebody mention Freezer bags that is the best way to go and what I do. Get a 4 ft cable from Home depot and a good lock for night time. Generally I nose the sleds in to each other and cable them. Only in the more populated areas generally I stay off the beaten track. One thing you may want in your sled is food mre or trail mix beef jerky just in case of an issue. You will see ample riders but be prepared. I also carry a magnesium stick to light a fire and a ax or sev saw. I cant tell ya how many time that saw has saved others on the trail down off the trail. If you go around the lake get off the main trans cana. trails take loops of locals and regional trails that will yield the most enjoyment and views. P.s bring a pre paid phone card walmart what ever the cell charges are huge calling home. Over christmas this year my Verizon bill was 100 plus more then usual. Good luck
  24. Good morning You wont need studs Many do use them but in the past 8 years I have not used them at all. Mostly because of the 2 inch paddle that I stopped. As far as gear nothing special I would consider gantlets for you handlebars and make sure you have a heated shield. Beyond that basic sled essentials which I'm sure you already have. The type of riding you want to do is up to you if you want to do day trips Mount Laurier is a good place as well as to the east. If you want to saddle bag tour I would recommend Lac Saint Jean tour first. The ride takes you in to areas with lots of convenience and dealers at night. Ride out of Saint Raymond from your area 620 miles (I used to live at one point in Belts ville) no need to trailer to the lake 2 hrs more time unless the snow requires it. I'm originally From Pa Bucks County actually my sleds are in Quaker town now. I will be going back to Canada in Feb 18th for a week trip depending on who I can get to go will determine what type of ride I do. Your more then welcome to put your sled in my enclosed or any one else if they are going that time. Perhaps a group ride could be put together? office cell 321 474 4432 Jesse
