  1. Justsick, look at the post just prior to yours for a recent report. As for conditions, go to the fcmq web site and click on trail conditions on the left, it will re-direct you. I am partial to La Glaciere for a motel (I am friends with the owner) nothing fancy but clean, on the trail, gas on site, English speaking owner (Lionel) on site restaurant overseen by his wife who is a chef. Located in St. Zenon. There are also several other options in the area. Oh, welcome to Quebec Rider, you will not find a better place or better people to help you out with information on riding in wonderful Quebec.
  2. Sounds like what is happening here in New York, I always thought that NY should look at what Quebec does and bring in the money, looks like it is going the other way, what a shame
  3. For all of you south of the border, FYI ... if you can't make the drive to Quebec for a while here's some info. The Old Forge, Inlet and Tug Hill areas are under a lake effect snow warning for tonight and tomorrow, The forecast is for 8 to 24 inches of snow during this time frame. This weekend is Old Forge Snodeo so the place will be crazy but if you can avoid Snodeo weekend it looks like a good place to go for some riding. I know that nowhere beats Quebec but just wanted to let you NY, Pa and Jeresy folks know. Mark
  4. Heard from Lionel at La Glaciere a little while ago, he says 8 inches of new snow and still snowing, groomer was on 63, it's supposed to get cold tonight and I am thinking of heading up in the morning for a couple of days to "scratch the itch" anyone want to head up and ride with me ? My usual riding partners can't get away at the drop of a hat like I can
  5. SkippyDoo, not sure but think they were nothing that most people usually ride (shhhh, don't tell the tree huggers), the main trail from Indian Lake to Inlet is the same
  6. That place saved my butt a couple years ago when riding in freezing rain I missed a turn and put my sled out of commission, met a super nice guy from Alma who rode his sled home, came back with his truck and brought me to the trailer in Beaupre, I spent 4 hours there watching curling (wanted to kill myself LOL). Damn shame but it seems like they have had issues the last few years trying to keep it open. We stay in contact and are friends now. In case he reads this, Rejean Bouchard you are a great person.
  7. Yup and 3 text violations you lose your license, they also spent who knows how many thousands of dollars putting up new signs naming rest areas as text areas, I do NOT love living here but family makes it a requirement.
  8. Yes , great place and I am particularly fond of the wine cellar.
  9. Yes this is a constant fight for us here in the Adirondacks
  10. Cabanon, La Glaciere, Koubec, Lac Tureau all groomed.
  11. I can confirm this is true from my friend Lionel, owner of La Glaciere
  12. I just posted a report from Lionel at La Glaciere in the Launadiere section, he will open tomorrow
  13. Just received this info from my Friend Lionel, the owner of La Glaciere. He reports 3" two days ago and then 12" from this last storm and a cold night so the Snowmobile Kingdom club groomed yesterday night between la Cabanon and La Glaciere on 350. Today they groomed the Lc Taureau and Koubec loops (his description) so according to him 250 km for this weekend, he is opening the Auberge tomorrow. He says that next week the 63 will be groomed to add an addtional 100 Km for next weekend. Lionel says they are waiting for Mandeville and St Gabriel who need to wait for River ice to connect and do their part. He had a few riders through today with smiles.
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to you too Tom and all the QR people

  19. Is that the place in New Brunswick ?
  20. You could look at Mt St Anne also, ski area, snowmobile trail right there, ice skating, resto, full service resort. A good friend who is on this site has gone there with his family and another family the last 2 years for New Years
  21. The trailer will have independant power source and most likeley several hydraulicaly steered axles, it aint easy and you would not believe what it costs to move something like that
