Sled Dog
Day 1...Started from Maniwaki. Met up with Midrange for a beer, always nice to see Jack. He gave us some helpful pointers and agreed we should head west. Took 63 to 322 to 63. Haven't been this way in years and I love the remotness of it. Stayed at Lac la Truite. Cool place. Never been before Had fuel...pricey at 2.50 but it is what it is. Generator run. 235 miles. Rode by the old Joncas...sad. My first trip to Quebec we stayed there...and the addiction started! Day 2...63 to local trail to 309 to local trail to 83 to 307 into Amos. Stayed at the Amosphere...love the name! Short day of 198. Day 3...396, lunch in Matagami, 396 to 93. Stayed in Senneterre at la Bell Villa. Ok place. No food. Trails were incredibly fast. 270 miles and we were in at 5:00. Make sure your full of fuel as a lot was burned!! Day 4...83 to Louvicourt, local trail to 83 all the way to Clova. We had breakfast in Louvicourt. (no food at Bell Villa) and fueled up for the run to Bulbazard. Have to get gas in Louvicourt or Senneterre!!! We spoke with a guy with a 1200 like mine and he did not make Clova to Senneterre. Very very close but no cigar. 188 miles to Clova. At this point it was snowing and early and I wanted to ride more so me and another guy put on another 54 miles. Spoke with Dominic at restaurant. He said the trail he grooms is open to le fer a cheval. Ok, we'll try it. He was leaving in morning to groom it. Day 5...Dominic trail to 13 and back to Maniwaki. In the morning we followed his tracks (snowmobile groomer) I believe he said he can't take the big groomer due to a wooden bridge that is iffy. We got to the end of the trail and it comes to a road. You can go right or left. Go left! The road was very long. Luckily we had 6 inches of fresh snow but never would have went that way if the road was bare. We spoke with him at Cheval and he said they just opened up that road for logging and he asked them to leave a side for the snowmobiles but they didn't. He was very helpful in giving us directions and ideas for where to stay on next trip. A great trip, 1206 miles total. My 2012 1200 is running like a clock with 11,700 miles. Next trip in 3 weeks! Every trail we were on was great and I saw more groomers out than ever before. I'll try to post some pics with my iphone....

600IQHO
We stayed in Clova on the 25th. Dominic mentioned the bridge was built in 1976 (I think) and he did not trust driving the groomer over it. Trails are really good out that way. Actually trails have been good almost everywhere we went this past week.
