  1. Shorts too no less, must be mid April in Valins!
  2. Too funny, I was thinking the exact same thing!
  3. I know Richard was going through a divorce. I beleive his wife ran the kitchen there. That's what he told me when we where last there 2 years ago. And the kitchen was closed then.
  4. We always start from the Universal in RDL, like Gutz said locked corral for trucks. About 1200 miles round the gaspe and back. Keep in mind Feb. is the busiest month in the Gaspe. We usually go end of March, Deep snow, no traffic, smoothe trails.Except last year, snow melted week before we where to leave. If you have never been there your in for a real treat!
  5. You hit the nail on the head trailblazer. This is the twelth year doing it since I built the house. Coming from a small town, when it's all done it's worth it. The smiles it puts on peoples faces is priceless.
  6. Dam, that must take an awful long time to set up! Anyone else put up a ton of lights? It takes me 2 full days to do this to my house and that doesn't include the time it takes to keep it lit LOL!
  7. Just bought my trail pass from Groomer, he said up by LaCache a foot+ Almost time!
  8. We will be headed up Sunday or Monday, We are planning on taking the long way via Valdor, Chibougamou then LSJ. We will also be leaving from the Shawinigan area probably the Gouevenour. We usually leave early in the am to Shawinigan, drop the trucks and ride the 100 miles either to Repos or kanawata the same day. Which way u going?
  9. I just booked two rooms and they said there was 5 left. Looks like jackstraw and crew are in!
  10. Dam, is that the lincoln edition? Stay out of the deep powder! LOL!
  11. Business? Let's just say I'm sick of the phone ringing! Not too often you say that. Now I hope we have a winter like last year, IN NJ THAT IS.. Or there's going to be alot of homes with tarps on them all winter. I want the snow up North and sun here at least til mid January lol! I'm sure I'll be at the gathering, I never make plans when I go to QC more then a week before I leave. Hoping to break the 4000 mile season this year.
  12. That doesn't look like solid brick, more like a brick veneer that you stick to an interior wall.
  13. Is there any truth that Poo, Cat and Yamis warrantys are void across the border? It would be ironic that Cat gives you a season pass for QC and when you break down trhe warranty is no good until your in the states.
  14. There are power crews from all over the country helping out, I guess Canada too. We need it I can't beleive how many trees are still down blocking roads, what a mess! My power came back on this morning, just in time it's getting cold. good news is there no shortage of work in the roofing business!
  15. Well its Wendsday night and still no power. The lineman from Indiana have just arrived. Hopefully another day or so. There's probably at least 8 poles snapped on my street alone. Have about 5 gallons of fuel left for the generator. The lines for fuel at the few stations open is unbelievable ! At least 75 cars waiting at each station. I'll siphon fuel out of the suburban before I deal with that. Linda, sorry to hear about the lineman, that is one dangerous job. That's it for now, fire going, candles lit, actually not bad!
  16. At first daylight, all I can say is WOW!!!! Not good. I don' t see power being restored for days
  17. Lost power at 7pm. Running on generator. Looks like the 4 th of July with all the transformers blowing, wild to say the least! Winds are howling , my massive 200+ year old sugar maple 10 feet from the house is hanging in there scarey with these winds!
  18. Why you think it's expensive? I only pay $1400 a month! LOL!
  19. JG, Great wearther I'm sure, Thanks to that big high pressure parked over you guys. Thats steering the perfect storm right over us, LOL! Let me know when you want to upgrade to a new atv, I'm looking for a low mileage lightly used atv for the wife.
  20. I was wondering the same thing, If it's Rasberries i'll be by in the mornining! LOL!
  21. Must have been a freak thunderstorm, with serious Jewish Lightning! It's amazing how many places just burst into flames when struggling !
  22. What an adventure that would be on a Mach Z Eh!
  23. If your leaving from VT. cross the border at Derby and head towards the Gaspe along the maine border, that's great. Go to matane and take the ferry to Godbout and come back along the North shore. You can cross back by shuttle by Quebec City. Just stay away from Sherbrook, there are more stop signs then you could imagine. If time permits you could head up to valins and then back down through St. Raymond.
